Breaking up the drive from Adelaide to Melbourne, my daughter and I enjoyed the experience of overnighting in this wonderfully restored period mansion from the 1870's. We stayed in the 'Doctor Brewer's' ground floor room which delightfully catered for all our needs. Three bedrooms, with a very charming and spacious master for me, a fully equipped kitchen, original claw footed...

Really loved the coziness and attention to architectural, historical detail! I forget the name of the room we had (across from the Captain's Quarters), it had a separate sun room/kids bed room/reading room, whatever you want to use it but we just loved sitting out there once our lil one fell asleep! We stayed 2 nights but I totally could...

My fiancée and I thought The venue was lovely, with some delicious port waiting for us upon arrival. The room was styled to suit the age of the building, but didn't lack for modern comforts such as heating/air con, TV, wifi etc. as the room was styled to be historic, The fridge and stove, were a little older, but while...

What a stunning building. Such love and attention has gone into restoring this beautiful old house. We booked online not really knowing what to expect. Soon after our booking was confirmed we received a phone call, the room we had booked was not suitable for small children for safety reasons, so we were moved to a larger, 2 bedroom apartment...

We really enjoyed stepping back into the past with our four poster bed, elegant room and victoriana in this delightful accommodation. Loved the complimentary glass of sherry and the spa bath. There was just one thing missing. No one greeted us in this very big house - just a key in the door and a scribbled texta note on a...

Sorry we lacked the personal touch, we had a guest set fire to a kitchen benchtop & Larry (manager) was busy with organising repairs etc. We have a phone in the foyer where he can be contacted 24/7.

We arrrived rather late and found a beautiful old house with a lovely, spacious room. The bathroom was fantastic with a bathtub on the middle of the floor. The room itself was furnished with nice old furniture. The owner was very helpful and recommended a nearby restaurant.

Self-contained apartments, beautifully renovated and each with private outdoor patios. We stayed in the 'Housekeeper's' rooms, which sleeps up to 5 in two comfortable bedrooms, living room, open plan kitchen and diner and shower room. Basic kitchen equipment provided to enable self catering, or breakfast packs can be ordered by the previous day. Excellent touches were the high quality tea...

We stayed here for one night whilst driving through to Adelaide and we could not fault the place. The host (Mark I believe?) was incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived, he was very informative and let us know about all of the local attractions. We were shown to the Baytree room and it was perfect. The whole property has...

We stayed a night in the housekeepers cottage at the rear of the property that comfortably sleeps six. There were three of us so no fights for the bathroom. The property has been lovingly restored and much of the furniture in the place is antique or gives the lovely old world feel to the place. The plunger coffee, the high...
