We stayed here for 2 nights in July when we were making our trip to framer, we were pleasantly supersede at how clean and spacious our log cabin was ...It had everything you would need...A home away from home. The staff were extremely friendly...We were picked up at the greyhound bus stop and brought to the hostel and dropped back... More

Unfortunately all the accommodation was fully booked at Hervey Bay & we had to stay in backpacker accommodation. The room was very average, very uncomfortable bed, very noisy (as expected) & it would have to be the very last option to stay there again. On a positive note, the wild life was lovely! Wood ducks, peacocks & farm ducks come... More

The village resort was lovely, we stayed in a powered site which was part of the YHA only 8 powered sites, very quiet which was great for us. Ducks, peacocks roaming around all friendly. Amenities clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly. Would certainly stay here again if heading back to Hervey Bay. 😊👍

Great little camp site in Harvey Bay... Excellent for a Fraser Island tour overnight stay. We booked two nights with our camper van. It is orienterend towards backpackers but all is well aranged and fairly priced. (32dollar for a powered site) there is a community location with a small bar and bistro, kitchen and laundry facilities. Fraser Island tours offer... More

Very disappointed with the private double room advertised and booked via YHA - dirty room with mud and bugs on the ceiling, floor and coming through the skirting board. Bedside table was filthy and mouldy. Room had not been cleaned behind the bed or bedside table. Toilet and showers are fine and communal areas ok. Helpful and polite reception staff.

Stayed here for one night, super friendly staff, nice and cheap for unpowered site, there's birds and frogs and spiders all over the place which we personally thought was so cool!! Plus there is no allocated place to set up so you can pick where ever you like.

Camping area is okay, but not close to common areas. Toilets are a bit messy, showertime required to limit to 3 minutes per guest... But the worst part in YHA s the staff. The staff at YHA aren't helpful at all and you have to figure all the stuff by yourself. For example, we put our food accidently in wrong... More

This YHA is conveniently located, has good amenities (could do with a few more showers though, had to queue up every morning), nicely laid out and generally well maintained. We stopped at reception and were greeted by a kind and chatty lady who took payment and gave us a map. Unfortunately the campsite area isn't that great. There are no... More

Stayed one night in a "villa" after a number of days out camping on Fraser Island. Room was spacious (with bed room and separation kitchen/sitting room) and very clean. Nice patio outside with table and chairs also. Rates very reasonable. Front desk was super friendly and very helpful. Since I arrived late on a public holiday the onsite restaurant was... More

I dont really get why people are writing negative reviews. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm. The room was spacious with a little communal area and good sized bathroom. Everything was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Liked the bar area and food. It was a relaxing place which was quite nice for a change. Lots of Ducks... More
