What a great place to stay, close to the beach, clean and tidy facilities and great staff. Not the newest of flashest but a great friendly, safe place to stay with the beach at your doorstep, will definitely be back

We were travelling with our grandson and hoped for a great overnight experience on the Kaikoura Coast, first up we tried the Top 10 in Kaikoura but its prices were exorbitant so went went south to Peketa. Yes it was a lot cheaper, but, the cabin was super small with a double and single bed and a jug. Next we... More

Great place to park up the caravan for a few days & relax watching the waves! Stayed a few times now with our little dog & love the quick easy service at reception! Clean & tidy grounds with everything you need - small shop at reception, playground for kids, free hot showers, table/chairs & water taps beside all powered sites.... More

We booked 2 weeks before our stay. Asked for a powered caravan site. The lady on the phone asked if we had an awning, and I said yes. We arrived and went to our site to find we were right next to the amenities block (and with a barky dog, I didn't think this would be a good idea), plus... More

After really looking forward to my first family holiday in over a year as i haven't been able to travel because of my daughter's medical condition, I was greeted to the camp ground by a nasty grumpy male staff member. We had booked in advance because it was a busy period and i wanted to camp close to the rest... More

We would not stay there again over a busy period - like Easter! Camp was unbelievably crowded and there was no security at night asking noisy parties to quieten down (they were still raging after 12.30pm). There were also lots of fireworks being let off every night which terrified the dogs there (this camp is advertised as pet-friendly) and no-one... More

We stayed here for one night in our campervan (Feb 15th). This campsite is in a wonderful location next to the beach, where you may be lucky and see hectors dolphins swimming by just off shore. The only downside with this campsite was having to pay for water to fill up the tank and also 5 dollars for limited internet... More

This time around we stayed at the south end of the camp towards the river - no powered site. Nice and quiet as there are less campers in this area. Well maintained facilities - clean and tidy even with the Easter rush. Lovely setting right by the beach. Great camp for families with children. Just a 10 minute drive into... More

We were somewhat disappointed with the amenities at this camp. In the toilet block there was no way of drying ones hands after washing them. The showers were good though. In the kitchen, although there are cooking and washing up facilities there are no pots or pans or utensils of any kind. The situation of the camp is lovely, dolphins... More

We stayed here for two nights and were welcomed by a very friendly lady at the desk who proceeded to give great customer service, making us feel welcome. We stayed in our car where there is a large area to park just off the beach. Great access for sunrises and dolphin watch! Facilities were clean and the shower was very... More
