Looking for a quiet place in a lovely countryside near Kaikoura, we've found this wonderful lodge and spontaneously decided to stay longer than planned. Joyce and Ross are very friendly and helpful hosts, they make it really easy to feel like home. The room was comfortable and spacious and the lounge is really cosy like a living room at home.... My Husband and I had a 1 night stay. As soon as we arrived and were given such a warm welcome by Joy (who really does go above and beyond to ensure you have the best stay) we wished that we had more time at Waikene Lodge. The fire was roaring and any stresses were left outside. I thoroughly recommend... More
