A lovely place to stay in Kaikoura - it's super homely and cosy and Helen the owner is really welcoming and friendly. It's perfectly located with amazing views of the mountains, and all the facilities were great.
From the moment I entered this hostel, it felt like home. So welcoming, good chats and very helpful staff. The veranda is beautiful with amazing views and the living room is cozy:) and they have an jaccuzi, easy to meet people. Free calls to the whale watch and dolphin encounter …
I stayed in a private room in the lodge (bathroom is shared) for two nights in September. Absolutely charming. Run with care and warm hospitality, immaculate, and the location is glorious. Highly recommended.
Fantastic place to stay in Kaikoura with views of the surrounding mountains and sea. It's a short walk into the centre. The place is lovely and clean and the staff are very friendly. The view from the deck outside is beautiful. Really enjoyed my stay here.
My partner and I actually stayed in this hostel during the 2016 earthquake which hit Kaikoura pretty badly. We couldn't have been in a better place during this time. The hostel held up incredibly well and the owner Helen did the most wonderful job of holding everything together. …
"all seemed nice"
"Has tokens for wifi"
"We had a double room with a garden view, but you could also see the sea"
"Not many rooms, so its small and warm. The 4 beds shared room is really nice."
"Don't stay in the room that is not included in the main house. It is a converted garage and the door is falling apart. The room is noisy and hot in the afternoon."
