We (a couple) stayed three nights in the Mahinapua room, which gave us private access to a well-heated bathroom and a separate toilet, close to the comfortable sitting room. Everything was immaculate, the bed-sheets were superb, the hosts were pleasant, and the breakfasts were excellent.

Fraser and Anne welcomed us into their home and provided excellent service and accommodation. We were only there one night but had a good comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast included in the price.

Our stay was only one night, too short! Lovely comfortable room and bed, great shower, excellent breakfast served by great hosts Fraser and Anne. There's a large guest lounge with a fire, nice garden, newly renovated property so everything is fresh and clean. We would recommend Woodland Glen Lodge, would like to return.

We had a lovely stay at Woodland Glen - not only clean, comfortable and lovely accomodation facilities but in a beautiful setting. The hosts Anne and Fraser where extremely accomodating, friendly and with a great sense of humour. The breakfast had several options not only for food but even juices-and it was yummy Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend it to others

Great place to stay, just out of town. Fraser and Anne, our hosts, were extremely hospitable and the breakfast was fantastic..We stayed in our own little 'wing',which is perfect for families. This BnB has lovely charm and I would highly recommend staying here. We'll be back to stay again for sure!

Recently refurbished and under new management, the lodge is a stylish and spacious stop over in Hokitika. Breakfast was outstanding - the mushroom dish is delicious. Every room is different lounge so it's worth checking and choosing before you book. There are several beautifully furnished indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxing, watching tv or if you prefer, chatting with other guests. Anne and Fraser are fantastic hosts and they provided excellent advice for some local activities. We would happily return on our next trip south - highly recommended.

Previous positive reviews of this property made any decision to stay here an easy one. It's easy to see why. From the magical setting close to the bush to the very warm and personal welcome from Fraser and Anne, it was an outstanding choice. Our room was outstanding and spotlessly clean. Beautiful bed linen and a large bathroom were much appreciated. The breakfast was way beyond anything we had experienced in our travels and certainly set us up for the day. These new owners will do very well here. Go and stay now before everyone gets to know about this real gem and you miss out...

I stayed at Woodland Glen with my wife and another couple for a night in February. We stayed in the upstairs suite that had a lovely view of the garden and snow capped mountains in the distance. The hosts were very helpful for what to do locally and provided a wonderful breakfast in the morning. We would recommend to anyone wanting high quality peaceful accommodation.

We really enjoyed our stay at Wiodland Glen Lodge. We were in the Moeraki suite. Very clean, beautiful room and a hospitable and helpful host, Laurie Anderson. Just a few minutes drive from the centre of Hokitika. Laurie had lots of great local information at hand.
