Had a wonderfully comfortable stay. Great hosts with local excellent knowledge. Comfy beds. Warm and cosy. Highly recommended. Breakfast is fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and toast (complete with funky honey spoons that I am now on the hunt for) Quiet. Peaceful. Impeccably clean. Tea and coffee (and a bit of chocolate too) provided. Really nice touch.

The lodge looks marvellous on the photos in the net. But when we arrived everything was full of construction material (new roofing), and around our room were scaffolds. It should be the Honeymoon Suite, but cause of this it did not really look like that. Well, the host said sorry for the construction, but there was no discount on the... More

We stayed here for one night. The bedroom was spacious, breakfast was plentiful (for a continental) and communal areas were welcoming (especially the wood fire). It felt homely. Would recommend if you want a home away from home close to hokitika town centre.

Our host was very kind and provided a nice continental breakfast. Our room was comfortable and shared bath was well equipped and easy to heat. It's a short drive to the nice town/beach. Host has several options for rooms and takes pride in a well run b&b.

Nothing to complain about here at all. Beautiful surroundings, clean and good size rooms. Lovely owners, very happy to help with information. We got upgraded to a honeymoon suite for no extra charge which was lovely and had it's own ensuite shower and toilet room. TV, large comfy bed, hanging space. Tea and coffee making facilities with chocolates were nice.... More

Bed was very comfortable. all the necessities are provided- robe, hair dryer etc. Small kitchinette in the common area with fridge, coffee etc. A standard continental breakfast is provided, promptly served... We stayed here for a night on the way from Nelson to Franz Josef Glacier. The lodge is situated just outside Hokitika in a secluded location. It was very quiet which was just what we wanted. We had a lovely welcome from Jeanette. The lodge has a shared lounge area with a television and reading area. There are some very... More

Husband and I spent one night here on the way up the West coast and were very happy with our choice of B&B. Bruce and Laurie's large house is about 5 mins drive from the centre of Hokitika, out in the country and very peaceful..apart from the cicadas making a row (which we didn't mind at all!). Directions made it... More

This B&B IS SITUATED JUST OUTSIDE THE TOWN (TWO MINUTES DRIVE FROM TGHE CENTER) in a very peaceful area. Our charming hosts made us very welcome. The bedroom was very confortable, spacious and light, with plenty of cupboard space. There is an attractive sitting area for guests downstairs with TV and DVDs.
