David and Glenys welcomed and looked after us very well during our stay here. The bed and room were comfortable and the breakfast very good. Not only is David an interesting person, he also makes great coffee and we appreciated the selection of fruit and yoghurt choices available.

My boyfriend and I came to Hokitika for the wildfoods festival and Glenis and David catered to our every need! We felt so welcomed, were given the parking space next to the house and directed to fantastic walking tracks! After staying for 4 days, on the last day, David made us "Scrambled eggs on fire!" for free...so generous! They were...

I stayed here after a recommendation from a friend and it does exactly what it says on the tin.. Lovely house and rooms. Very friendly owners who are very kind in advice and recommendations for travellers. Lovely loose leaf tea and home made bread and the occasional appearance of the family dog. Walkable to centre of town, private parking. Very...

I stayed here overnight on a recent trip down the West Coast with a friend. The Garden is a lovely period home. After being shown our room, we were welcomed into the kitchen for a cup of tea and some of David's baking. I was so impressed by how welcoming they were and they made us feel relaxed and at...

Thank you for such positive comments, we really enjoy hosting people from all around the world and sharing our lovely house. We have made the vegan pancakes a few times since and they are definitely better with buckwheat rather than coconut flour. David

Beautiful period house with warmth and charm. We were made very welcome. Rooms were well cosy, home from home. David serves the best breakfast you will find anywhere, fresh home baked bread and roles.

We stayed at the Garden B&B for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast is delicious, especially the homemade ciabatta. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Thank you for your positive review and so glad you enjoyed your stay. It is a pleasure to see how much people from many cultures enjoy our ciabatta, fruit, plain bread and for Chinese guests the half moon egg dumplings.

I stayed just the one night which happened to be New Year's Eve, and was delayed due to Arthur's Pass being closed for four hours after a bus/car crash. David was good with communication at this time, and indeed had previously recommended a great place to stop en route to Hokitika which I appreciated. So a good start even before...

My wife and I stayed here for one night on a road trip around the South Island. This was just what we needed after a bland hotel experience in Christchurch the previous night. The Garden B&B was a cosy 'home from home' and had everything a weary traveller would need. David and Glynnis were both amazing hosts and nothing was...
