Friendly and helpful host who provided map and advice on Greymouth facilities. Very colourful decor, with obvious care put into creating a backpackers with character. I appreciated that each dorm bunk had its own light and a power point.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in! The kitchen is fantastic! Has everything you could possibly think of and is a decent size so no bumping into people while your trying to cook. The bathrooms were clean and I never had to wait to use the shower during my stay. The communal areas are fab...so many different places to...

What an excellent spot to while away a rainy day on the west coast. Awesome movie collection, awesome books, awesome music, warm inviting interior, kept warm with heaters, all in all the common spaces are great! Kitchen can be busy but is well equipped and kept clean and tidy :) The owners of the hostel are kind and friendly though...

Global village has an immediate warm and welcoming feeling. The staff were wonderful and tell you all about greymouth, show you around, and are very accommodating. The facilities are kept to a very clean standard and there is tons of space both inside and out to hang out. Wifi is great, which is another bonus. I would definitely come back...

I recommend this hostel, it's on those you feel like staying a couple of days. The interiors are decorated with style, the kitchen is clean and all the dishes are clean, colourful, nice to use. There is plenty of space to relax, read, chat, watch tv, very big lounge and garden. The staff is aleays around, helpful, caring and friendly.

First of all, the place is gorgeous - every inch is decorated with genuine African and Asian works of art, even in the rooms and bathroom. It's so unique and captivating, we could stay there all day. Other than that, it was also clean and very spacious, with free off-street parking and free wifi. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Clean facility and friendly owners. As long as you are comfortable with shared bathroom and hostel accommodations this place is fine. Be careful booking this place on websites other than directly with this location as their shared rooms don't always appear as such. You can wind up booking a larger room than you need.

After my reservation I've got an e-mail about the pick-up service from the train station and busstop. So they will pick you up by car. Quick drive around the city the manager will show you the good coffee places and some history about Greymouth. The hostel itself was colorful and I loved the themed decoration. It felt like a real...

Yet again another BBH beauty! We booked last minute the night before due to a change in plans - so lucky they had a room! The whole experience was perfect - comfy bed with personal light and charging point, private balcony on the room (double bed and single bunks for three people total), clean and well organised kitchen, lovely location...
