Yes the hotel is a bit dated and could do with a spruce up but they have started as our room had a modern bathroom. the bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Not having a lot of choice in Greymouth we had no complaints. The meal in the restaurant was excellent as was all the staff. Happy hour in... More

Yes, it is a bit dated, but it was perfectly comfortable and the staff we dealt with were all very helpful and arranged a slightly earlier check in for us. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.

We upgraded to the superior rooms upstairs. The concierge was very excited to tell us about the rooms in the tower having all newly renovated bathrooms so i was expecting something amazing like a spa bath but na was just a regular bathroom. Whole place is very dated. Needs a good paint job etc. Lovely views from the 5th floor.

This hotel is fairly centrally located but it's so dated and tired. I'm not sure there is much better in Greymouth to be honest. The curtains barely keep any light out during the day and the whole hotel is very dark the rest of the time

Decor is dated, bed was ok. The blanket was not comfortable at all. The staff weren't very welcoming either when we got there or when we left. Could do with a bit of work. The restaurant was over crowded too.

My son and I stayed here overnight to break journey on the Transalpine train. Chose this hotel as it was in walking distance of railway station and adjacent to shops and restaurants . Large bed rooms with balcony. Well fitted out.

The smell wafted in our room and kept us awake as did the chatter and drinking. Very disgusting & not... More

As part of our package,a one night stay was booked for us here. The room was to used just for sleeping spending most of our time being spent exploring. The room has ensuite which included a bath. Considering we are on the West Coast of NZ which is a little like Jurassic park I was amazed at the quality of this accommodation and the excellent service levels of the staff.Very central location with ample vehicle parking. We ate in the restaurant which was also very well staffed with efficient and polite waiters etc..
