Whangarei Views was all we expected and more. The views were superb; the apartment was extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated, and well-equipped with eveything we needed (even ice for our gin and tonic was provided on request); and the breakfast was delicious, nutritious and plentiful with fabulously good coffee. But what made our visit really special was the warm welcome we...

Wendy and Urban did everything for us to feel like home, tought us a lot about New Zealand, helped us with our further planing of our trip and served great breakfast to us. If you're looking for a place to spend some days at the Northlands make sure you can book with them and do daytrips from there. You'll not...

This B&B is a perfect little quiet hideaway from the crowds and the tourist locations. Whangarei is a little aways from other attractions - ie: poor knights island - but that lends itself to its major plus - being away from the crowds. One of the best things about this place were our hosts, Wendy and Urbi. They were awesome...

Wendy & Urbi are just the most amazing hosts. Even before we left the UK they helped us with dining arrangements and places to visit. We loved their accommodation and even managed a walk (on their recommendation) before breakfast to the botanical gardens. Talking of breakfast, they provided everything from fresh local eggs, fabulous fruit and the nicest coffee to...

I've stayed here heaps of times while I was away on business and never got round to writing a review. I might have to come up to Northland again so it tripped my memory! In summary, this is a GREAT place to stay. Hospitality is superb, great chat, great breakfast. I still dream about that shower with its super-charged pressure...

It is almost unbelievable how much Wendy & Urbi know about Whangarei and its surrounding. You can feel the deep love and intense care they have for their environment and neighbourhood. It was a privilege to spend a night in their home and to hear all the fantastic information. There are certainly not many places in the world which are...

We`ve spent the last week of our 5-week NZ-trip at the Whangarei Views B&B which was just terrific! We chose to stay at Whangarei because it is a great starting point for exploratory trips to the northern part of the north island e.g. to the Kauri trees, Ninety Mile Beach, Kerikeri, Waitangi, Russel or the Poor Knights Islands etc. We...

Even before we arrived, Wendy sent us super information on sites and restaurants between Auckland and Whangarei for the trip. We chose Whangarei partly for its proximity to North Island attractions and partly because it was not in the Bay of Islands. Little did we realize how much Whangarei has to offer itself! We did visit and highly recommend Tutukaka,...
