Polite friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and 100% spotless, Spa bath was amazing I expected a smallish 2 person bath as that's normally what you get but these are huge. I agree with prior reveiw do not go to restaurant across the road we had a terrible dinner.

This is the second time we have stayed here and find it good value for money. Good size rooms and as long as you are away from the road reasonably quiet. The office doesn't open early in the morning, so if you want a morning paper on a Saturday don't expect if before 8.30am as we found out.

We had two rooms for two nights there while holidaying on the north island with friends The rooms are quite roomy and comfortable but the beds are extremely soft which we were not used to The room is fitted out with a large 2 person spa which we did use and enjoyed The rooms are not really suitable for in... We stayed here a couple years back and it was lovely, big rooms, spotless presentation, staff were great and those big spa baths are great! We had a nice balcony to sit and have breakfast or enjoy a drink and the Motor Lodge is located close to a couple of supermarkets so that was handy, would love to stay again... More

Located centrally in Wanganui and easy to find. I liked having the shops just across the road. Checking in was smooth and quick after parking in their free parking onsite. We found the room to be very clean very modern. I loved the very large Spa Bath for two as it was Ideal for our romantic evening.

I stayed here for the first time on one of the coldest nights of winter for work and it was an amazing slice of luxury. The bed is so comfortable with an electric blanket and a huge spa bath in the room. Nice big to screen in the right position to view from bed or the spa. Reception was very... More

We decided to run away to Wanganui at lunchtime on Saturday. Went online and checked out a few places to spend the night. The last minute booking, made directly with the property, was handled pleasantly. So pleased we gave the Aotea a go. Lovely space, very modern and super clean. Fab firm but cloud-soft beds, great pillows, beautiful linens. Only a... More

We stayed on a Saturday night in room 25 and can thoroughly recommend it. We paid $165. The room was very spacious with a double spa bath, good sized TV and fast free WiFi.
