Grafton Cottage is certainly a bit different. It's up on a hill with a great outlook and the chalet we were in was perfectly adequate. Very comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi, good TV, good kitchen facility and a lovely liqueur awaiting us. Absolutely no complaints but it was a bit quirky - a character accommodation.

Loved this place! I felt like I was on a tropical island holiday. Massive rooms, great views, good Internet and wonderful hospitality. A nice way to end a very long week on the road. While I was travelling for work I'd happily recommend the for families too.

Manaakitanga and the views, well, ataahua 💜💚 The grounds are littered with colourful trinkets of the Pacific; the pool looked over the most magnificent views and our bed was literally, heaven. Arby's manaaki only made our stay that much more pleasant. Thanks Alby; xoxo Cathryn & Olive from the Far North

Spent a week here exploring the local walks, cafes and restaurants in the local area. Alby and the crew were very welcoming with advice about things to do that were suitable for us and our husky. Breakfast was chosen from a list including all the usual things, served in generous portions. We didn't use them, but the pool and hot tub were very inviting after a days on the trails.

Absolutely loved our stay at Grafton Cottage, we stayed in the Rata room which had a beautiful view, the photo doesn’t do it justice. It was a nice room with baking and liqueur on arrival which was a nice touch. The whole place had an island feel to it with designs and trees and plants everywhere. It was so beautiful and has character. The spa pool was great and had a beautiful view at night, a bit too chilly to try the pool. Alby, the owner showed us round and made us feel very welcome Thanks for the wonderful stay! Would definitely recommend
