Extremely comfortable accomodation including a guests' sitting room with TV. Delicious cooked or continential breakfast- homemade muesli and heaps of frsh fruit salad. Nothing was too much trouble Pauline even offered to make sandwiches as we were going on a long walk ,and we were offered wine and liquers in the evening. Great recommendations on where to eat and the... More

We stayed with Pauline and Dennis for a week, four days in the main house and three days in the cottage. Initially we were disappointed that the cottage was booked for the first four days of our stay but actually this gave us a chance to get to know our wonderful hosts even better. They could not have done enough... More

We stayed with Pauline and Dennis for two nights at new year (sorry for the delayed review- back to the UK and back to hectic normality!). I don't really know where to start with this review- the place, Pauline and Dennis' hospitality, the views, breakfast, bedroom we're all exceptional. We stayed here nearly 3 weeks into our holiday and after... More

The property is at the top of a hill with excellent views. We stayed in the queen size room with the Garden view, it was clean and comfortable. Had a private bathroom with a shower that had been recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable. Pauline and Dennis were very wonderful hosts. We were filled with tea and biscuits and... More

Perched on the very top of the hill above the other houses, this is a lovely B&B where we were made most welcome. The room has an en-suite shower room with a powerful shower. Adjacent to the room is a lounge for the guests, there were two sets of guests when we were there. A choice of cooked or continental... More

This was our first stay in a B&B after 4 nights of staying with old friends in New Zealand...and we couldn't tell the difference! Pauline and Dennis made us so welcome. The location is perfect, and their hospitality so warm and genuine . We travelled with friends who have mistakenly rated it as "poor"...this was an error and should be... More

Pauline and Dennis were wonderful hosts - we felt right at home. Breakfasts were hearty and delicious (free range eggs are from their chickens), the bed was extremely comfortable, the entire suite was spotlessly clean. Expansive views from high up, over the water and beyond. It was a short 5 minute drive into the town of Thames where we enjoyed... More

We arrived at chatre manor after a very stressful six hour drive from kerikeri in pouring rain. On arrival Pauline had the kettle on, tea made and homemade cake and biscuits out. Yum. Beautiful view from our room, bed good and breakfast delicious. Pauline and Dennis are welcoming and hospitable. We only stayed one night but due to weather issues... More

What a fantastic place to stay, Pauline and Dennis were the perfect hosts and the tea, biscuits and sweets at any time of the day were an addition that was most welcome. The views from the balcony are stunning and the sunsets are to die for. Breakfast is exceptional and coupled with the view can be quite memorable. The rooms... More
