We had a most awesome stay at the Grand Mercure Basildene Manor. King Suit was everything you could want. Grounds and facilities where amazing and had that old english country charm and all the staff where friendly and welcoming at all times. We would definitely consider returning for another stay in the future 😁
You pay for the location, which is stunning, and yes the rooms were beautifully decorated, but Basildene Manor is nothing more than a glorified bed & breakfast. The prices charged are not representative of the facilities offered here. There’s no restaurant or bar, not even a mini bar in your room, nowhere even to get a sandwich prepared after a long day out enjoying the region. Reception direct you to the restaurants in town, which are nigh on impossible to get into without a booking especially on a Saturday night. In conclusion it’s overpriced and whilst the leaving gift of scones and jam, is a nice touch, maybe put them in the room on arrival instead if you’re not offering any kind of food or catering for your guests.
Great location close to the town, easy access to all the tourist destinations. Stunning grounds & gorgeous rooms. The staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The scones were a nice touch and they were delicious! Thank you for a relaxing stay.
What an amazing place to stay!! The location is central, yet also distanced to enhance the natural and beautiful surroundings, giving a calm and refreshing environment. The staff go above and beyond to help; they are accommodating, friendly and genuinely interested in others. They help you feel a part of the place as soon as you arrive (oh...and the Easter celebrations were terrific!) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU p.s. the scones are divine
4.5 ⭐️ Room was cosy with a beautiful view of the gardens. Daily Breakfast, included in the package was a lovely way to start the day. Would have been nice if there was Netflix on tv. The vanity in the bathroom was a bit cramped and didn’t have much space for placing our own toiletries. Staff was friendly and welcoming.
Beautiful hotel with gorgeous gardens. Very nice room with an enclosed outside patio. Pool and tennis court on site. Short drive to town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Look forward to staying there again on our next trip down.
Fabulous stay here. Receptionists were very nice & helpful..Central spot for Margaret River. Lovely walks from Rotary Park in town that we hadn’t known about before. Nice meals at Settlers Tavern. Meelup Beach was the best beach for swimming.
We had a wonderful 3 nights at the Basildene Manor, celebrating my husbands 60 th Birthday . Racheal was fantastic making us feel very special. Thankyou to all the staff. An amazing place to stay . Scones were a great touch to finish.
My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at the Manor to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. We had a beautiful King room with large balcony overlooking the gardens and surrounding forrest. The manor is a beautiful colonial building, once a grand private residence but now a wonderful boutique hotel with swimming pool, tennis court and private gardens. The room and facilities were excellent, the staff friendly and accomodating and the cooked breakfasts were delicious. Thanks everyone for a fantastic stay.
The place is so beautiful, it comes with tennis court, swimming pool, bbq facilities (they provide all the cutleries). We can also order picnic food (a lot of them are local produce at a quick glance) at a reasonable price. Breakfast is included, and the food is very fresh. Staff are so friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of good info. There’s also a laundry room for guests to use that’s complimentary. Will definitely come back again
