Rydges StKilda is not the biggest Hotel, but what it lacks in size it makes up in being as professional as any Hotel. It was the best local stay we have had in StKilda. They looked after us,the bed was very comfortable and they keep the rooms and hotel area spotless,we recommend Rydges StKilda to all.

The customer services desk was fine even though only one person attending. Wouldn't like it in a busy time. The key card stopped working after one day which was annoying. Our room was fine although you can see into other people's rooms and we all had our blind down. Room was clean, bathroom roomy and bed comfy. We had a... More

I stay here pretty much whenever I'm in Melbourne for business. St Kilda is easier to drive out of in the morning and back to in the evenings than the city is. It also has a lot of great restaurants and just a few hundred metres from the hotel is a colony of fairy penguins. Not many hotels can boast... More

Room was large, clean and comfortable. Small view of ocean. A few small maintenance issues however nothing major. Free wifi which had good coverage and speed. Great location, close to tram stop. Would stay again if need arises.

Dear Laura B, Thank you for that great review. Our location unfortunately does not face the esplanade however we are only a short 5 minute walk from the beach, and I guess you were one of the lucky ones to stay in a room that has a partial view. Looking forward to welcoming you back when you're in St Kilda... More

Shower was cold, complained twice. Complaints were ignored twice nothing was done. We were there two nights and had to deal with this terrible service. The toilet had a crack in it and when the toilet was flushed it sprayed water on the floor. Eww! The heater was set to 28degrees and didn't do anything. You can imagine how good... More

I went to this hotel and stayed a whole week. Location is great, many restaurants and stores right beside it. Rooms are clean, but curtains and bed cover don't seem as clean. I think it is not a bad hotel, but weight to much expensive for the product it is.

Dear CaroOyarce, Thank you for that great feedback. I have passed on your comment regarding the curtains to our Housekeeping Supervisor to pay more attention to this area when cleaning rooms. We look forward to welcoming you back to St Kilda in the near future. Kind Regards Richard Pietersz More

Booked down at St Kilda to be close to a wedding venue. The staff were great and couldn't do enough for you, whether the front office staff or the staff in the cafe or bar. However the rooms were old and tired and a bit pokey.

The worst hotel I've even been to. I would never recommend this disgusting place to anyone. The staff are so rude and they don't care at all. We left the room after one night and stayed in another hotel that's how bad it was. Blood on the sheets and they changed it three times with all having other stains. And... More

Don't be fooled by my pictures. These were the highlights from a drab visit to the Rydges St Kilda. We entered via the Jackson St entrance to the carpark and already we had to step out of the car (in the rain) to hit the button to talk to reception to enter. Upon waiting several minutes in rain we entered... More

Dear Dede, Thank you for your time to provide feedback as it is helpful to know what we need to change to improve our service. We would like to explain that the car park entrance on Jackson street is controlled by the intercom as it is a security measure so we are aware of who is coming into the property... More

We recently stayed 4 nights at the hotel in a superior king room in the back of the building. It was quite a cold day, and I turned on the aircon/heating. After 20 minutes or so the room was still freezing cold as there was cold air blown out of the unit. I rang reception, and someone came to check... More

Dear Mazda3mon, Thank you for your recent feedback. Our Maintenance Manager has been inspecting each and every aircon heater and I can confirm that we have replaced the ones that have not been working. Unfortunately heating related issues with the aircons do surface during winter so I am pleased that you did get a room move on this occasion. We... More
