We were in Melbourne for the tennis. The hotel provided a welcome oasis from the hustle and bustle. It’s luxury on a paired back scale that mixes old and new st Kilda. The staff are happy and nothing is a problem. Food in the restaurants is amazing. I’m busy orchestrating my next visit.

The Prince is the 'gold standard' in service and this hotel has something for everybody. A whole bunch of drinking, dining options and the Little Prince Wine is a beautiful room (read: wine cellar) that has a remarkable collection of wine to drink in or take away with you. The Public Bar is the lynch pin which the hotel evolves around and it's just a great place for breakfast, for dinner, or for last drinks after a busy day in St Kilda. The Prince of Wales Hotel is pretty much the heart and soul of Fitzroy Street, St Kilda, for so many reasons and in so many ways. It's just a bloody good hotel! Enough said.

We really enjoyed our three night stay-cation in The Prince corner suite, It's light, roomy and appointed to our liking. Such a nice change to staying in a Melbourne CBD hotel. The Public Bar and Prince Dining Room have been beautifully refurbished, whilst maintaining its iconic charm. All the staff are genuinely friendly and attentive. Onsite, secure parking was reassuring, in a particularly busy part of St Kilda. We look forward to staying again.

We enjoyed oir Christmas stay at the Prince. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet and very well appointed. The bed was excellent. All staff that we interacted with were polite and very helpful. We had meals in the bar and in the restaurantand and all were great. Location is good. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants and close to a tram stop giving you easy access to the city, Albert Park, South Melbourne Market. We would definitely stay again
