Siew and I stayed at Araluen Park for 5 nights in late December/early Jan' 17 and can't wait to get back there. We do regular cottage stays and find that the photos on the sites are always better than the reality, but in Peter and Marie Anne's case it was the opposite. We stayed in Boobialla and it was simply...

We stayed in Lilly Pilly Cottage in January this year. The cottage has been beautifully decorated and furnished in period style yet has all the comfort and facilities you could want. You can hear birds in the forest and as a bonus king parrots came to feed on the verandah. Peter and Marie Anne couldn't have been more helpful and...

Only 6 1/2 minutes drive into Lakes Entrance but you could be miles away with the peace & serenity. Situated down a quiet country lane the four cottages are very private from each other & in the case of Lily Pilly, a one bedroom house with verandas off main living areas. Period furniture, tastefully decorated, comfy queen bed, excellent shower...

We had a bad start to our day as our flight was delayed from Launceston to Melbourne. This meant getting in to the cottage after dark. It is a little tricky to find especially in the dark but you should be fine if you have a satnav. We drove down a dark lane to find we were chasing a wombat,...

We stayed at the Lilly Pilly Cottage. It is adjacent to the paddock with alpacas and is fringed by native bushland. Every morning, we see king parrots, rosellas of different kinds and honey eaters. The cottage is self contained and very clean, comfortable and well set up. It is entirely solar powered with a wood fire heater. Shower is very...

Thank you for your review, we are happy that you enjoyed your experience in our native environment, and our cottages. It was great to hear the Yellow-bellied Gliders on our night walk, even if we didn't get to see them.

A warm welcome from Peter and Marie Anne set the scene for our overnight stay. As soon as we arrived we knew we would want to stay longer than one night. Lomandra is a lovely one bedroom detached cottage with a balcony overlooking the woods. If you want peace and tranquility then this is the place. Well maintained and beautifully...

I spent six nights in Lilly Pilly cottage - a truly magical experience. Secluded in a bush setting, but with the company of a herd of alpacas and friendly king parrots (feed supplied, watch out for fingers if hand feeding!). Eclectic decor, absolutely spotless, more than adequately provisioned, and attentive hosts - nothing was overlooked. I can't wait to visit...

So glad that you were able to get some R & R, and enjoyed the birds and the alpacas. The cottages are located separately so they ensure privacy from each other and a little seclusion - just right for a bit of R & R. Thank you for your review.

Very clean, spacious, nicely furnished and well decorated self contained cottage with helpful and friendly owners. Great place to switch off and relax and feed the birds! Good quality bacon, eggs and muesli provided which we supplemented with fruit, juice and Gippsland Yoghurt to make a breakfast to last us till dinner. Just a few minutes from Lakes Entrance and...

Thank you for your comments. It's amazing how the king parrots and the rosellas seem to know that if there is a car at the cottage, they might get a feed - seems to work for them most of the time. We are happy that you were able to switch off for a while during your busy holiday, and just...

My husband and I stayed here for a night in early January. What a lovely place. Our cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated and just delightful. The ambiance of the place is something to be experienced. The owners are terrific with a real wish to please.

This is our second time staying here and we are delighted that we have come back, the attention to detail, setting, location and cleanliness of the cottages is perfect. Great to see you staying again, and so glad the weather was a big improvement on your last stay. It was obvious that the peace and quiet helped you to recover from your hectic time at Phillip Island.
