Position Position Position my Real Estate agent would say, and this little gem of an Inn is tucked just behind the Murray river, right in the heart of the town. We were hoping to stay on the river in a Paddle Steamer but settled for the Steam Packet Inn when it was offered to us after a cancellation at a...

I overnighted in Echuca on my way to Adelaide, choosing to take a route so I could see a bit of country Victoria. I booked the Steampacket Inn as I didn't want to stay in a stock standard motel. My room had the charm of a small country boutique hotel. Comfortable and appointed well without being over the top. A...

A charming B&B centrally located. Perfect for couples or singles, wouldn't recommend for children as rooms are small. Excellent value for money, almost seems too cheap. Wonderful breakfast included. Will definitely recommend.

I've stayed here three times over the last three years. Each time I've been very happy to be 'transported' back to the 1900s. The effort put in by the owners to decorate the rooms is appreciated. The location is perfect if you are a tourist. Would recommend this place for couples or families.

Stayed here to run a workshop in Echuca and was pleasantly surprised to discover the detail that had gone into decorating each room with antiques. It's a very special little BnB in a fabulous location to explore the port area. Have since gone back with family and would definitely stay again.

This historic establishment provided a very comfortable two night stay in Echuca for us whilst traveling along the Murray River. Essentially a smallish B&B right in the middle of the old port area you really are located in the heart of the tourist area. I recommend visitors realise this is a fantastic old building full of history and charm but...

We loved staying at the Steampacket Inn. It is beautifully furnished, decorated and "old worldy". We chose a riverview room which was just lovely - not huge but not small, either. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom was gorgeous, too. The history of the Steampacket Inn makes it special, also. Furthermore, it is situated right near all the...

We unfortunately misplaced our keys for this property and thought we left them in our room..we called the owner and she advised that she would put replacement keys under the mat. On checkout we were asked whether we found the keys of which we said are not the ones you gave us ours?...to which she replied no and you will...

After reading the previous negative reviews (after we'd already booked) I was a bit nervous as to what we'd find upon check-in, but needn't have worried as it was really lovely. We had room 2, not a whole lot of free space around the double and single bed but we managed perfectly well. I just loved the feel of history...

Positives: - Location couldn’t be beat. - Loft room had ample space for our small family and for storage, and was high enough up from the street that we didn’t really have noise to contend with. Negatives: 1. Room was very dated. Only most basic amenities provided. No handtowels, face cloths provided. Room items not replenished after use: water, milk,...
