We booked a King spa room with 2 beds prior to our journey. On arrival we found the air conditioner was not working. Staff were very helpful. As the air con could not be fixed the staff arranged for us to move to another room with a spa, this room had only 1 bed so we were given another beautiful... More

The moment I walked in this place I was greeted with smiles, all the staff were so friendly. The drinks and meals are quiet cheap. The beer garden here is absolutely amazing and especially at night when they turn the lights on its a nice place to sit outside and relax in. They have a lot of pokie machines to... More

Although centrally located with plenty of onsite options (like dining, POKIES, bars), we chose this Hotel for its history, but it was not a good match for us. Located opposite Rosalind Park and the arts precinct we expected a nice view at the very least. Not only no nice view, no view at all. An internal room. Small and claustrophobic,... More

We stayed in The Shamrock Hotel for a night and whilst the staff were very attentive, the suite was very clean, very well equipped and very comfortable we were disappointed at the total lack of fresh air. As a result there was a definite room-stuffiness that was partially overcome but either leaving the door to the passageway open or turning... More

My second stay at Hotel Shamrock hasn't disappointed, our suite/room is comfortable and air conditioned. Sadly the shower is uncontrollable, either scalding hot or cold and fluctuates between the two temperatures. Also shower base slippery, toiletries lovely. Continental breakfast adequate with fresh fruit, variety of cereals, yoghurt, sweet and savoury muffins( mini) ,pastries and toast. Tea and coffee plus fruit... More

Great location just 5 minutes walk to the tourist office . We had a room at the back which was a bit noisy with generators etc but still good value and very comfortable and one of the best selection of shampoos, razor etc I have come across for a very low priced stay.

I took my Grandparents there on a trip through Bendigo. It was a beautiful meal with great portion sizes. Staff were lovely. My Grandfather loved looking at the photos of historical Bendigo hung around the main dining room. Highly recommend for a taste of Bendigo in a beautiful building.

Beautiful old hotel. Fabulous wooden bar. We popped in for lunch and weren't disappointed. My wife had one of the specials -the Chicken and Mushroom Penne Pasta, she loved it. And I had my favourite Calamari, which was also delicious an full of flavour. Two thumbs up.

I had a comfortable suite and loved being in this beautiful old building that I've always admired from afar. 1800's architecture is exactly what iw want in that part of Victoria. Although they have one of those daggy sports bars the food in it was great value.
