Nice small hotel located central to all we required. Shops only 50m away for my wife to buy everything she forgot to bring. 100m to lots of restaurants and the Beer Festival we where attending at the Gold Museum. Clean, tidy, modern room with all that you need for a one night get away. Continental breaky was good also and... More

What a brilliant stay. Perfect location everything from eats to shops in one block. But what makes this place triple A, is how comfortable the room is and how lovely the staff are. My room was on the ground floor and walking into this beautiful building to my room is an amazing Atrium that stretches most of the motel. There's... More

I have to say the lady on reception is awesome. Very friendly and helpful. The room we were given was spacious and comfortable with great reception and consistent (and very fast) wifi. Everything was very clean and tidy and it was a pleasure staying in a building with lots of history. The hotel itself is very central but not on... More

Wonderful staff. Excellent room. Made a last minute adjustment to my booking with no fuss. Quiet, easy going and very relaxing. I caught a train to Ballarat and left the car at home - easy walk from the station. Radiator heater worked a treat - absolute necessity for those mid-winter Ballarat evenings... Clean and well appointed rooms, surprisingly spacious. Separate... More

This place was a little run down but fine for a night. A bit weird that reception closes at 7pm. The room was nice and the bathroom clean. Toiletries were good. My only complaint was in the morning I was unable to access the internet. This was hard for me as I was on a business trip and really needed... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a mini break away from our business. Warm and friendly greeting on check in from Angela. Stayed in one bedroom apartment upstairs, nice and quiet. Plenty of room to move and having a separate bedroom was good. Location was great as you didn't need the car, everything within walking distance. Wifi was limited in... More

This place really is great. Its quiet & peaceful, clean & comfortable the staff friendly and pleasantly helpful. The rooms clean well maintained and roomy enough and the rates are more than reasonable. Located just off the main street and near Her Majestys Theatre, Craigs Hotel (wonderful dining) and the shopping centre it really is a great place to stay.... More

Conveniently situated in the CBD of Ballarat. Lovely old building, very spacious and spotlessly clean. Very quiet in upstairs room with en-suite. Bar fridge, coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Very helpful and friendly staff and a lounge room for guests again with complimentary tea and coffee facilities, fresh fruit and small muffins the following morning. Newspapers and... More

Just an overnight stay in this beautiful building. Warm welcome, advice given on where to get a quick meal and drinks. How to enter the hotel after hours was explained. Room clean and warm. Good shower. Only complaint was the pillows a bit harder than we like. Overall enjoyed our stay.

We had a one night stay in Ballarat specifically to eat at Meigas (Spanish and highly recommended). Ansonia was a good choice because of its central location and reasonable price. Our room was clean and spacious, the hotel was very close to quality cafes and restaurants and just a short stroll from the shopping areas of the city. We had... More
