This establishment is such a warm and inviting place, even in winter in Ballarat! Like a home away from home, if you will excuse the well-worn phrase. It's our place of choices when visiting Ballarat, recommend d for couples.

We booked to stay here and pre paid $170 non refundable fee. On the web site initially there was no mention of parking but in small print on the booking page there was a note 'no onsite parking.' This hotel is in a Main Street of town and parking was ticketed (paid). We had just bought a new expensive car...

We treated ourselves to The Sovereign Hill night show and stayed at The Ansonia on Lydiard, greeted by Bryn who was so very friendly and welcoming. Bryn was able to suggest where to dine before the show, at Da Vinci's restaurant, just a short evening walk from The Ansonia. Our room was perfect as was our weekend enjoying touring around...

This is the first time we have stayed at the Antonia. Location very convenient and easy access to the main street, cafes, restaurants. Bed was very comfortable and room a good size. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel has high ceiling rooms, clean comfy beds and great service minded staff. The property is quiet and very peaceful. The distance is only 2 blocks away from the train station. The staff were so nice and helpful.

Our first contact when we booked in was Bryn, who welcomed us and made us feel right at home and could not have been more helpful as were all the staff we had contact with. Our room was lovely and comfortable with all the amenities required. The outdoor space was also great to sit and relax. Would stay here again...

This small hotel is located on one of the main streets on Ballarat's CBD, close to cafes and restaurants. It's a historic building with an internal glass-roofed causeway, large rooms with high ceilings and large bathrooms - al of which were immaculately clean and well presented. We asked if we could have a drink in the rear courtyard with a...

Comfortable beds in great position in town. Rooms were spacious and had lots of character. Did not eat at restaurant, lots of local options in close proximity. Lovely heritage street- would stay here again

We stayed here to experience the character of old Ballarat but found no character only old! No bedside clock, only one bedside lamp and a double bed of strange design. Every time I walked around the bed I knocked my knee painfully on the wooden exposed corner of the bed. Bathroom had a peculiar wooden shelf extending along the bathroom...

We stayed at the Ansonia with another couple on a recent trip to Ballarat and had a very pleasant stay. Bryn, greeted us warmly at reception and gave us helpful advice where to eat in Ballarat. The two rooms were well appointed, quality bedlinen and towels, but the highlight was the atrium and garden room where we could relax and...
