Very convenient location in central Ballarat with friendly helpful staff. We booked a standard double room which was a good size for our week-long stay, with enough room for all our luggage. It had a coffee table and comfy arm chairs, to relax in, as well as writing chairs at the desk. The bath towels were fluffy and new, and... More

Reception was not very friendly. The room was very dated. Beds were comfortable and shower was fine. Room had airconditioner/heater extra pillows and blankets. No bowls, plates or cutlery offered in the room. Good location close to the CBD

Stayed here as a bus driver with a bunch of people for a local party. Great spot for weekend parking for a bus. The room was clean, large and offered all that I needed. Motel was also well within walking distance of a a number of eating houses. Very friendly Receptionist when I went to fix up my account.

I called this hotel at 2:30am on a Sunday morning after I was caught without anywhere to go - asking for a room and they said no problem! I arrived and pressed the intercom and clearly woke the guy up. That didn't stop him being really lovely and assisting me in my hour of need. He even let me borrow... More

The rooms are spacious and the staff excellent but unfortunately that's where the good news ends for the mid city. According to the blurb it was built in 1971 and I doubt it's seen much of an update since then. The reception area features the remains of some sort of abandoned water feature and that sets the tone for the... More

I picked this hotel because I didn't want to be stuck out on Geelong rd with all the other motels near sovereign hill. This place is ideally located right in town close to cool coffee shops bars and restaurants go for a wander down the lane across the road lots to discover. The motel is old but the towels are... Older property, good size room, very comfortable. Spent 3 nights there. Only motel I've been to in a number of years where there was no phone in room and absolutely no information about the property and its facilities.

Mid City is getting a bit tired around the edges but still very acceptable for a short term stay. Fittings getting pretty dated (Room 42) but everything worked well although the TV is a bit small. Service was fine - they initially put us in a room that had not been cleaned but quickly switched us with apologies. Quiet and... More
