Room nice and clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. It was great to be provided with crockery and cutlery to enable some basic microwave cooking. Bed was extremely comfortable and contributed to a good nights sleep. We appreciated the staff contacting us about a book we left behind before we had gone too far.

The decor is aged but the room was spotless and bed comfortable, water pressure good and hot. Very quiet location. Good value for money and convenient for where we needed to go. Would recommend it if you are looking for a budget-friendly motel.

The decor is tired like most motels. But it sparkling clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room was a good size. It represented good value for money. The staff member at reception was friendly and welcoming. And they had Kooka’s country cookies - always a plus in my book!

The owner was very kind, to assist us during our disrupted holiday. We had chosen this motel for our planned trip from Melbourne to Grampians due to many reasons - good reviews, beautiful rooms, prime location, on-site carpark. It is perfect as a rest stop in between Melbourne and the scenic Grampians Mountains because one way trip takes 3h. In order to gain more day time at Grampians, you can start travelling towards Grampians on the night before your planned hike and make a stop here at a very reasonable price (just ~1.5h from Melbourne), and continue your journey the next morning. This will reduce the initial 3h travelling time by half. This is great for road trippers who do not want to start driving towards Grampians at wee hours e.g. 6am in the morning to reach at 9am. Plus! There are many supermarkets around (opens at 7am) for those who needs some last minute purchases. Not to mention the great food around Ballarat, and the extra tours you can make in Victoria! We will definitely drop by in the future.
