Charming old building, rooms fully renovated and stylish. Spacious bathroom. Bluray player. We had a room overlooking Launceston. Shared balcony on each level. Guest lounge is basic. No bar or dining room as a private hotel but included bar fridge. Good location near central Launceston, with great cafe just down the road for breakfast.

We stayed at the Auldington in room 31 for 3 nights at the start of our Tasmanian trip and then another 2 nights at the end. Lovely old converted building with spacious, comfortable rooms. Room 31 has it's own private balcony and is light, bright and airy with a panoramic view of the city and the river. The ensuite in... More

We stayed three nights here. It's an old converted convent, so expect an older looking building. The hotel has stayed true to its roots on the outside. We stayed in a large room with a large bathroom, which included a large bath - something very much appreciated after walking in Cradle Mountain National Park. The room was large, had a... More

The reviews I had read aptly described the amenities in this historical boutique hotel - a generously large and comfortable bedroom with huge ensuite. I could not fault the room in any way. While the hotel does not have a restaurant it is only a short walk from the city centre.

This 'boutique' hotel was a very pleasant base for our 2 day stay in Launceston. The room (there are only 18) was very large, light and bright with high ceilings, and fitted with quality furniture and a very comfortable bed. Huge bathroom with capacious tub and great hot shower. We were on the third floor which is accessed by either... More

We spent 2 nights at the Auldington as part of a package deal from Virgin Australia Airlines. Such a pleasant surprise, the hotel is extremely well appointed with an amazing shared set of balconies, a comfortable lounge, and the rooms, just nice. The bathroom is extremely modern, the shower was a religious experience, staff were very friendly and helpful in... More

We stayed as a one night stop over to start our round TAS road trip. I chose Auldington as a cheap brief one night stop seeing it as less risk. But it really was a fantastic boutique style choice and really affordable. We had a 2bedroom. The main bed was comfortable but the pullout couch was not the most comfortable... More

We stayed here for two nights with four kids. Plenty of space in the 2 room executive suite. Only downside was kids had to come through our room to use the toilet in the middle of the night. James at reception was very helpful.

This place is so underrated! Amazing boutique hotel near the centre of Launceston. Beautiful rooms, amazing bathrooms and comfy beds...not to mention a well stocked mini bar! Gorgeous views of the city and cathedrals! Extremely quiet rooms in a historic setting. Highly recommended for a business or leisure stay, especially if you've had enough you of the chain hotels! LOVE!... More

Stayed for 2 nights after landing in Launceston. Room was spacious, comfortable. So was the bathroom with a shower and jacuzzi - but we did not utilise the latter. We stayed on the 2F with a huge balcony. Nice view of the city and the garden below. Easy access to spots and dining locations by car. The only downside was... More
