I've stayed at the Sebel many times over 8 yrs or so. I like the rooms - mostly I get a little studio apartment (although once I had a 3-bed place). Location is good. I even like hearing the clock chime. Staff are good. Getting a parking spot can be competitive so worth a call to ensure they hold one...

Walking distance to Central Launceston shopping. Great place to shower and clean clothing after a week hiking the Overland Track. Restaurant service and food superb. We enjoyed our stay there before and after the trek.

We stayed at the Sebel recently and being a light sleeper asked for a room change away from the street side of the hotel. Bec on the front desk could not do enough for us and happily met our request. Footnote - street noise turned out to be a non issue at night. We were so impressed that we returned...

Thanks also for your feedback on our breakfast buffet options, berries and stone fruit are good options and they are now coming back into season. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back next time you visit Launceston. Best regards, Craig...

I select this hotel when I stay in Launceston for business , due to excellent customer service, very clean rooms and a touch of elegance at a reasonable price. Off road secure parking is provided, and the restaurant provides a very good breakfast to start the day. Certainly recommend this for business visitors to the state.

We booked here on recommendation the hiking company we booked the Overland Track with. Beautiful hotel, heaps of room, spa bath, relaxing. It was particularly great post track due to the washing machine, dryer and spa. I think it's a bit expensive but fine for ease of pick up and great for the first night after the track to do...

Stayed at the Sebel in Launceston for two nights and was warmly welcomed back. The rooms were excellent in presentation and the light into the rooms was great. The restaurant served up superb food. I highly recommend this establishment.

Very good location, friendly & efficient staff. We had the penthouse with 4 bedrooms, just like staying at home with all necessary "things " in the kitchen to cook your own dinner if you don't feel like going out. We did cook our breakfast though. Because of our late flight, the lovely lady at the reception organised a late checkout...

Dear Ron, I'm glad you and your family enjoyed staying in the penthouse on the top floor and made good use of the large kitchen to prepare your breakfast. Because of the space and views over the Tamar River and the Cateract Gorge it is certainly popular with our guests. I'm also glad we were able to arrange a late...

I really liked the Sebel in Launceston. Our 1 bedroom room was configured with a king and rollaway bed as we had requested. The beds were very comfortable and the room of a good size, modern, clean and fresh. The service from front desk staff and restaurant staff was great (friendly and efficient). The location was on the edge of...

Dear Craig, Thanks for your review and positive comments about our rooms, location and the service from our team. The chimes from the Post Office Clock can certainly be heard right across the city and while an important part of the local history, we do supply earplugs in case needed by light sleepers. Thanks again and we hope to welcome...
