We stayed here overnight as a stop over, arriving a little earlier than check in time, the gentleman at the desk was kind enough to check if the room was available (which it was). The gentleman at the desk was friendly and helpful at both check in and check out. The room itself was located in a long corridor but...

Water Edge is in a great position, situated right on the waters edge of Port Macquarie. The rooms have balconies and are very clean. A little smaller but good for a few nights stay. I would stay for anymore. The bar is located well and is not too expensive and comfortable with couches and outdoor area. The restaurant served some...

This motel is in a wonderful position, overlooking the beautiful lagoon and a few minutes walk from the town centre. It was built some decades ago, the rooms are rather on the small side, and it now appears to be in need of a thorough renovation. Some of the carpets are worn, some of the furniture was marked, and the...

My granddaughter and I were booked in here by Trailfinders for a 1 night stay on our journey from Sydney to Brisbane. The hotel is dated, the room facilities very basic and poor self catering facilities. No lift. The swimming pool was very cold.

My husband booked this place based on recommendation. From a friend. So was not to the standard we normally stay in or are used to. I have read the reviews of some which were i feel unfair for the price point. If you want a five star hotel expect to pay a hell of a lot more. I gave it...

Hotels rooms could be upgraded a bit, felt a bit tired, however it was clean and cleaning staff were the best. Lady at reception was wonderful and friendly however...

Spent a night on the fly here was a great position overlooking water. Reception staff helpful and room was very comfortable. Room was clean and well presented. Bed comfortable. We didn't use the dining facilities but looked OK and seemed well presented. Car park at front door which is a bonus. Walk to town centre, along waterfront, many restaurants and...

Breakfast was good value and tasty. Internet although included does not work all areas despite...

We recently booked a table for 20 in the restaurant. The service was atrocious and the food was dreadful. Of the 20 guests 3 thought their meal ok. The staff were very rude and seemed to want to be doing anything else but working there. It was very disappointing.

Again, if you scale back your expectations, Water's Edge is...fine. Even after you do that though, you'll find it a pretty downmarket experience all round. The best way I could describe the rooms is "dingy" - think curled-up missing carpet, warped doors, cheap furniture, etc. On the plus side, the view from the balcony onto the water is indeed lovely....
