Just don’t. We checked in, the whole family and dog and they had the wrong room and we walked in on someone else in the room. We got split up in seperate rooms and I didn’t feel safe. So many other things went wrong. They also have interesting people stay there if you know what I mean. We didn’t even unpack our bags, we demanded a refund and left. If Port is booked out just drive to Kempsey or Wauchope.

A small group of us stayed over for 1 night for work, we arrived about 6.30pm the young lady was very friendly at the reception and gladly gave us some milk for coffee and recommended places to have dinner. The motel exterior was a kittle dated however the inside of the room had been renovated and was very comfortable, the bed was comfortable and we all had a good night sleep. Very little road noise and a big verandah was handy for us to have a few beers before bed. Everything worked well in the room, the locks are electronic and very secure. We would definitely stay again thankyou.

The stay itself was deeply depressing: broken windows that were nailed shut, cat faeces stinking out the car parking area, ancient and noisy aircon and a filthy bathroom with cracked tiles. All for $350; about the same price as a night in a premium metro hotel. And now, ten days after check-out, I have been contacted by the owner/manager James, who wants to charge me a damage fee of $250 for the hideous synthetic rug in the room. The claim is my dog did a wee on it, and the smell has meant they have to replace it. I dispute this as she's fully toilet trained, and because I checked over the room thoroughly on checkout but, conveniently, there is no way to evidence smells remotely. Why it has taken 10 days for management to contact me, and how they've come up with $250 I'm not sure (I was initially told it was a cleaning fee; it's morphed into a replacement fee now but there's no way that rug was worth $250). James did reveal he's taken guests to court over similar incidents in the past, and I fear this man is a litigious and deeply shady character whose modus operandi is to make guests sign a waiver at check in, and then exploit that with trumped up damage charges. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE. I read these reviews myself and then overlooked them because I couldn't find accommodation with my dog. On the return journey I found an alternative nearby on the big home share website. I strongly suggest you look there first too. Or just drive through the night with your pet if you have too!

This motel needs to be shut down until one almighty clean of this filthy place is undertaken. The tiled floor is black when cleaned it would be cream. The shower screen was dirty, just because.you can take your pets here doesn't mean it should be dirty

Well what can I say. Firstly don’t waste your time. We made our booking and the receptionist said the payment will be taken out the day of check in. Well that’s not true, they took the payment 4 days before check in so no room to cancel if need be. Anyway the day before we leave we rang up to book the complimentary PlayStation 3 as listed on their website, only to be told by the extremely rude receptionist that we would have to pay. Umm no. We told her it was on their own website not a third party website to which she replied that it was a mistake. Well too bad, you advertised it so we get it. She reckons no, you have to pay. We then asked for the managers number only to be given a number that doesn’t even ring. How convenient. We ring back the receptionist and she reckons “oh I’ve spoken to the manager and he said that the policies have changed and the playstations are complimentary but you have to pay for the games”. No thank you. We get put onto the manager and he answers “yup” in the rudest way! Says that he’s cancelled our room and refunded our stay. How very nice of you. One day before we are supposed to check in! But that’s ok. Cause after reading how rude your staff are, manager included, and how dirty and unclean your motel is, you did us a favour. Good luck with your business 👍🏻 Can I suggest some classes in how to actually run a business and keep the customer happy..
