Have stayed in the cottages at Splinters three times now and it's always been lovely. Bobby is very welcoming and helpful & the 'welcome pack' of wine/cheese/bacon & eggs is wonderful. Definitely recommend it

without bobby's enthusiasm, knowledge, verve, humour and empathy this place would probably be slightly disappointing. the buildings and rooms are getting a little old but they are slowly but surely being updated: lovely bed, new paint, some extra cabinetry mixed with older pine furniture, etc. however, bobby's attention to our every need - even ones we didn't know we had...

We spent two nights here recently, to celebrate our 1year anniversary and wish we had booked for longer. The rooms are lovely, a good size and very well furnished, so much attention to detail. Bobby is fantastic, the perfect host, and knows the best wineries, restaurants and wine tours to take. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend...

I had read the reviews and thus had high expectations of my stay. I certainly wasn't disappointed. The setting is charming; the room comfy; and the welcome warm and friendly. Everything I could wish for a weekend away.

Took my wife for a surprise weekend away. Her sister had stayed at Splinters a little while back so it came highly recommended. Even though it was roughly half the price of other hotels close by it was lacking nothing. Bobby was a great host and really cares about her business and her guests. The room was fantastic, plenty of...

Had a great experience here. Location was right in the thick of wineries. Bobbie was a great host. Shared good information and was friendly. Room was big enough, with an ensuite bathroom (shower). Parking was onsite. Free wireless. Very clean. Breakfast included in rate. Fruits, cereal, yogurt, etc.Bobbie would then bring out something hot--one day warm egg crustless quiche, the...

Splinters is a lovely guest house/ B&B with beautiful gardens and nice, comfortable rooms. The owner, Bobby, is a wealth of knowledge regarding the area and goes out of her way to be helpful and attentive without being "in your face". Splinters is in close proximity to wineries and restaurants - some within walking distance. We couldn't really fault anything...

A lovely setting, charming owner, clean room. A great spot if you are looking for understated, comfortable accommodations. The Hunter Valley has great wineries, lovely hikes. Have dinner at Botannica! Would love to come back!

I selected splinters because of the reviews on T.A this place is amazing, Bobby the owner is truly a lovely person and nothing is to much trouble for her. At least 4 wineries within walking distance. Restaurants galore, and bobby knows them all. The premises and location are perfection. Breakfast divine

My Wife and I recently had the distinct pleasure of spending four days and nights at Splinter’s Guest House during our visit from Virginia, USA to the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. Without hesitation, we can assure you the experience was nothing less than perfect. Out of personal inclination, we purposefully chose a locally-owned facility over international chains that were also...
