It was an extremely pleasant stay. Room was clean and nice and quiet with pleasing views over the vines. We had a beer and food tasting tour that night starting at the Hunter Valley Resort itself, and WOW, it was outstanding. Highly recommend the stay. In fact the wife and I WILL be back, but for longer the next time....

There is also a swimming pool an interesting bunch of tours and a dairy across the road to taste cheese, or buy some to go with you wine. The restaurant menu has a wide range of options and the wait staff were what I would expect to find in a 5* restaurant in Sydney. A lovely experience. Will be back!

We stayed in a two bedroom cabin for a night. The outlook to the paddock and mountains was beautiful, we sat on the verandah and had drinks and cheese and played cards which was wonderful with this backdrop. The cabins a a little "tired" looking but the location is very central. All the staff were very helpful and everything about...

Stayed one night in a clean but dated room. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were hard and flat. It is clear that the owners are making an effort to make the accommodation as clean and comfortable as possible given the age. There were little touches of luxury in the rooms but unfortunately this wasn't enough to distract from...

Stayed one night and enjoyed our experience. Rooms a little old & tired and in need of refurb but comfortable. Free Wifi in library but not in room unless you pay. Staff friendly & helpful. Lovely nature outlook. Tennis court, pool, spa & library to enjoy. Walking distance to other vineyards in vincinity. Enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant....

Our cabins were a bit rustic. We could not connect to wi-fi. We could walk to dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was not available until 7:00 am. The scenery is beautiful. There is a bike lane on the highway. We saw kangaroos in the forest.

Stayed 2 nights in a spa lodge, great accommodation quiet peaceful surroundings. The lodge was spotless and had all amenities. The cafe served a good tasting selection of beers as well as a full lunch and afternoon tea service. Did a wine tasting, video and talk by a very knowledgeable young man. We ate at the restaurant, service friendly, good...

The highlight of our stay was the tour and wine tasting- so interesting and done with style. Very informative... we came away really feeling we had learnt something about growing fine wines. We had dinner at the resort with our visitors from the Brisbane area, on our last night, and enjoyed a very relaxed atmosphere with a generous and accommodating...

Hunter Valley Resort in Pokolbin is on Hermitage road - an easy drive to lots of wineries and other attractions. The Wine Tasting and Tour was included, and the Cheese factory is just across the road. Beer brewing (Fay Yak) is on site. Restaurants food good.

Good location with a number of great wineries in walking distance (we didn't touch the car!). Would recommend the onsite wine theatre & tasting and topped the stay off with a nice meal. Lovely spacious rooms.
