Last weekend, We stayed here for 3 days for my sons wedding which was to be held at this venue.
I can not fault the staff , But was so disappointed in the way the accommodation was handled. We had booked the manor, We invited many friends to come and stay at this hotel believing that we would all be together. I was most upset that it was my sons wedding, and I was given the worst room in the place. with a lovely view of shed , ute and car park . While complete strangers had the other rooms with the views. My friends were placed all around the place... brother in laws , uncles and aunties shoved down the other end of the hotel.... while complete strangers were using rooms in the manor..We had believed we would all be together. I had asked for a room change, told I couldn't be moved till the following day.. I waiting until 12:30 and I wasn't moved , I had to go on a wine tour, When I returned from that, I was told that they had given the room to someone else... so I was stuck in this room alienated . I was so hurt at the treatment I was given, when this should have been the happiest time . Another thing I would like to mention., that might need some attention. I paid $700 for a three teared wedding cake, for 80 people... why did the staff cut up the entire three tiers , and then throw it all in the garbage? it is little things such as this that added up to spoiling the entire experience. I will say that the staff did help my son and his bride and did give them wonderful service, going over and above for them.
Thank mother

Hi tee-maree30, Thank you so much for the amazing feedback! It was such a special day and we were so excited to take care of this special day with you. I am so sorry though that you felt like we have let you down... It breaks our heart that you feel this way. I would love to speak with you so please call the hotel at your convenience :) I do want you to know though that we were asked to cut the entire cake, including all the tiers. The only reason we threw away a few pieces was because they had been sitting out for too long on the tables. Some guests even had two pieces, which speaks to how amazing the cake was! In regards to your room move, we had this all ready to go as discussed. When we got to your room your bags were unpacked so we were unable to move you. We tried to call you many times, we even engaged the rest of the group to call the guests that you were with but we were unable to get through to you. After many hours we engaged the wedding group again and it was decided to check some of the other party into this room. I am so sorry you felt like we forgot about you. In regards to the allocation, we have 6 different wings on the estate, with many different room types. Some are not the same as others so unfortunately if some guests booked a certain room type it would be away from the Manor House. We did check this with the organiser of the event before hand :) Again, we are so sorry you felt alienated from your group but we tried our absolute best to look after everyone in this amazing group and double checked everything with the event organisers as we know how special this group was and did not want anything to go wrong. I really hope you do give me a call :) Take care, Penny

A lovely hotel with so much character located in the Hunter Valley. Breakfast was great and it was a well located to explore the wineries. Staff were all very pleasant and the room clean and comfortable with some absolutely stunning views across the Yarra Valley.
Pizzas in the bar were also very tasty.
The property was so pretty with a lovely driveway and good parking facilities. The grounds are impeccably kept.
Thank Andy P

A quick trip to the hunter valley with the family to see the lights at Hunter Valley Gardens.

We stayed in a 2 bedded room that was decorated beautifully. It was probably one of the classiest rooms I have stayed in. It was slick, with shades of black and blue. Was quality.

The property was beautiful, from the tree lined driveway, reception and grounds. It was a great. The kids also loved the reee swing, pigs and chickens. The kids also had a swim in the indoor pool and spa.

We had a buffet breakfast as part of our package and it was of a high standard. The views over the gardens and buildings were great too.

We were only there for a short time but would definitely come back. A great place for a weekend away and only 5-7 mins from Hunter Valley Gardens. The Xmas lights were amazing and worth checking out too. Thanks for a great stay.

I don’t have a Tesla, but the charging stations were pretty cool. Highly recommend!!
Thank ben46k

We spent a night in this beautiful hotel.
The hotel is located in Hunter Valley in a gorgeous estate with lush gardens and magnificent views.

Check in was quick and we were allocated room 36, which is a Deluxe room, located rather far from the reception at the Manor House.
We received 2 drink coupons at the bar.

The room was beautifully decorated and included 2 twin beds, a desk and chair, 2 armchairs, very little lights, a door to the porch, a minibar and a locally installed A/C. There is no safe in the room.
Housekeeping could've done a better job in making sure the room is clean, though.

The bathroom, however, is another story. It's as if it belongs to another hotel in another era (ca, 1980's). It is small, and includes a sink (with almost no space around it), a toilet and a shower (no bath tub).
The window of the bathroom is on the ground level, so you constantly need to use the drape for privacy. you also need to make sure the bathroom door is closed shut while taking a shower, otherwise, the fire alarm might go off.

The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning with lush gardens, pools and a very estate-like feeling.

There's a swimming pool, jacuzzi and small jym in a far pavilion of the hotel.

We had a small dinner at the Epoche bar, which was OK (I've written a separate review about it).
Breakfast was lovely and felt really private, with a small buffet and made-to-order eggs. The service lady at breakfast was absolutely charming.

Bottom line – this is a beautiful property in Hunter Valley and while the bathrooms need an urgent upgrade and renovation I can definitely recommend it.
