Really lovely setting in a building with a lot of history. However the inside is very tired and in need of a refurbish. The staff were friendly and helpful. Perhaps a little more attention to the small things like decorative pots at the front door stuffed with waste paper which remained so the duration of our stay makes things look... More

We loved the Guest House (original mansion), its design and location. The room was quite comfortable and the balcony overlooked the 1st tee and 9th green of the golf course. The only thing that was a bit of a let down was the bathroom. Unfortunately there was mildew in the shower recess, which was quite ugly. Access to the golf... More

We stayed in Margaret Dalton Lodge, which is a self serviced apartment. I have stayed in may apartments around the country, but this one was amazing. The bedrooms are large, as is the lounge room. Honestly you could swing two cats and not hit a thing. The kitchen and dining area are all brilliant. There are only 2 suggestions that... More

Nice little place. No complaints here. Only there for one night, so couldn't really appreciate everything but nonetheless great place. Nice comfy beds. Only small room but that is all we needed. Thank you

We stayed 2 nights and met friends for a game of golf. Rooms were on the small side but very comfortable. The bathrooms were amazing and everybody loved the showers. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied enough for all. Dinner in the evenings was good - lots of choice and also evening specials that were well prepared. Staff were... More

On the 12th November, I was booked in to stay at a Duntryleague and attend a two day conference for the 12th and 13th. Through no fault of mine or the staff at Duntryleague the booking was incorrectly reserved for the 19th November. By this time all accommodation was booked out at Duntryleague, however, Michelle and Renee were most helpful... More

If you need a quiet room and a sleep-in, Duntryleague is the wrong place. The rooms, upstairs, are large, pleasant with good beds and a parkland outlook. But this old mansion has no sound-proofing so you hear every footstep in neighbouring rooms or on the staircase. Check-in is at the adjacent Orange Golf Club which can be a bit perfunctory.

Stayed for 1 night while attending a sporting event nearby. Room was small but had everything needed ( except no curtains on the higher windows ). Continental breakfast was included in the room price. Building is used as a function centre and a wedding reception was happening the night I stayed. Quite noisy but it didn't stop me from sleeping.... More

We were lucky enough to hold our wedding at Duntryleague, and stay onsite in one of the mansion suites. Our wedding was perfect, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in planning and setup, particularly on the day and if anything didn't go smoothly we were none the wiser. So many guests complimented the food; - scallops or duck salad... More

My favourite thing about Duntryleague is the mattresses on the bed. They are AH Beard and the best mattresses in Australia. So I would go back there for the bed. However we stayed in room 12 the old chapel and it was not the best room. It had 2 side windows with no curtains. A disaster for a girl on... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The historic Duntryleague guesthouse is situated in the botanical gardens setting of the Duntryleague's prestigious 18 hole championship golf course. Built in 1876 for local businessman James Dalton, the building now offers 14 accommodation rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. Accommodation in this 19th century mansion is in four categories, from original master suites (Mansion rooms) to smaller guest suites (Standard rooms). All rooms are non-smoking rooms, and many are multi-bedded and suit the needs of families and groups. We also have rollaway beds and cots available on request. All room rates include continental breakfast, although a cooked breakfast is available for an additional charge. All guest rooms have been upgraded with new bedding and modernised furniture, some including work desks. As well as ensuites, guestrooms also have a television, small refridgerator, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, clock radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Painting and refurbishing of the guest rooms has started taking place. Duntryleague has also just finished renovating Margaret Dalton Lodge, a fully self-contained three bedroom flat, which is perfect for couples, groups and families. It offers a lounge and dining area, bathroom, self-contained kitchen and small outdoor area with BBQ. Breakfast is not included with the Lodge, (as it does have a kitchen within it), though both continental and hot breakfasts can be purchased from Duntryleague guesthouse just 30 seconds walk away. The Lodge does cater for disabled access as it is situated on ground level, adjacent to the main guesthouse. Unfortunately, due to being heritage listed and the historic nature of Duntryleague, there is NO disabled access to the main guesthouse. All guestrooms involve climbing stairs, as we are not permitted to install an elevator. Please also be mindful that as we are an older building, there may be the occasional creaky step or floorboard, but this is all apart of Duntryleague's charm! Guests are welcome to utilise the Club's facilities, including; Golf Course Tennis Courts Bar Brasserie (Open every day for lunch, Tuesday-Saturday for Dinner, Saturdays & Sundays for Breakfast & Brunch). The Guesthouse offers a variety of spaces for guest use, including the breakfast room and guest lounge with an open fireplace. Private functions and special arrangements for groups, such as BBQ's on the terrace, can be arranged. We are only a 2 minutes drive from the Orange CBD, and a 10 minute walk! We look forward to meeting you on your upcoming getaway to Duntryleague, Orange, NSW. ... more   less
