We were not aware rooms/suites in this guesthouse on a very beautiful golf course did not have any air conditioning. It is not a venue to stay in summer as the only way to cool this very brown tired not renovated room was an overhead ceiling fan. We had 3 nights at this guesthouse first 2 nights were in "veranda/view...

There is a very impressive entry into the guest house, and an Olde world feel to the place (The sun was shining through the beautiful stained glass window). Our room was a good size, with ornate high ceiling and doors onto the veranda. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open (It was a Monday night), but the bar was, so after a...

We really enjoyed staying at Duntryleague. The building was a fascinating place to explore. I loved the high ceilings, the grand staircase and the lead light windows. It was fun to imagine what life would have been like when the house was new. There was a great variety of choice in room sizes and layouts. The large landscaped grounds were...

We really enjoyed our overnight stay. It's a classic old guesthouse, I had stayed there before for work, love the look of it, love the creaking stairs. It was somewhere different to stay and show my 16 year old son rather than the usual hotels and motels on our trip out to Dubbo. The room was fine, my son actually...

I recently visited the DuntryLeague guesthouse with my children and we enjoyed a lovely stay. The room was quite large, fresh and very clean, with very comfortable beds, clear Wifi and good facilities. The bathroom was quite dated. The guest house was stunning and we really enjoyed the continental breakfast, which had a good range available. We would stay here...

Really lovely setting in a building with a lot of history. However the inside is very tired and in need of a refurbish. The staff were friendly and helpful. Perhaps a little more attention to the small things like decorative pots at the front door stuffed with waste paper which remained so the duration of our stay makes things look...

We loved the Guest House (original mansion), its design and location. The room was quite comfortable and the balcony overlooked the 1st tee and 9th green of the golf course. The only thing that was a bit of a let down was the bathroom. Unfortunately there was mildew in the shower recess, which was quite ugly. Access to the golf...

We stayed in Margaret Dalton Lodge, which is a self serviced apartment. I have stayed in may apartments around the country, but this one was amazing. The bedrooms are large, as is the lounge room. Honestly you could swing two cats and not hit a thing. The kitchen and dining area are all brilliant. There are only 2 suggestions that...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The historic Duntryleague guesthouse is situated in the botanical gardens setting of the Duntryleague's prestigious 18 hole championship golf course. Built in 1876 for local businessman James Dalton, the building now offers 14 accommodation rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. Accommodation in this 19th century mansion is in four categories, from original master suites (Mansion rooms) to smaller guest suites (Standard rooms). All rooms are non-smoking rooms, and many are multi-bedded and suit the needs of families and groups. We also have rollaway beds and cots available on request. All room rates include continental breakfast, although a cooked breakfast is available for an additional charge. All guest rooms have been upgraded with new bedding and modernised furniture, some including work desks. As well as ensuites, guestrooms also have a television, small refridgerator, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, clock radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Painting and refurbishing of the guest rooms has started taking place. Duntryleague has also just finished renovating Margaret Dalton Lodge, a fully self-contained three bedroom flat, which is perfect for couples, groups and families. It offers a lounge and dining area, bathroom, self-contained kitchen and small outdoor area with BBQ. Breakfast is not included with the Lodge, (as it does have a kitchen within it), though both continental and hot breakfasts can be purchased from Duntryleague guesthouse just 30 seconds walk away. The Lodge does cater for disabled access as it is situated on ground level, adjacent to the main guesthouse. Unfortunately, due to being heritage listed and the historic nature of Duntryleague, there is NO disabled access to the main guesthouse. All guestrooms involve climbing stairs, as we are not permitted to install an elevator. Please also be mindful that as we are an older building, there may be the occasional creaky step or floorboard, but this is all apart of Duntryleague's charm! Guests are welcome to utilise the Club's facilities, including; Golf Course Tennis Courts Bar Brasserie (Open every day for lunch, Tuesday-Saturday for Dinner, Saturdays & Sundays for Breakfast & Brunch). The Guesthouse offers a variety of spaces for guest use, including the breakfast room and guest lounge with an open fireplace. Private functions and special arrangements for groups, such as BBQ's on the terrace, can be arranged. We are only a 2 minutes drive from the Orange CBD, and a 10 minute walk! We look forward to meeting you on your upcoming getaway to Duntryleague, Orange, NSW. ... more   less
