a must do. To sit on your deck and watch giraffes walk by is simply amazing. the tours allow you to get behind the scene and be up and closer to the animals. the banquet was great to sit with your fellow travellers. the only minor downside is we only had just over an hour to really enjoy the deck,... This experience is one every animal lover would truly enjoy. The staff are knowledgeable, respectful, helpful and professional. The tours are informative and totally enjoyable. To go behind the scenes and up close to the animals is an awesome experience. The animals always comes first which is how it should be, eg. strictly no touching or patting the animals as... More

My partner and I have just stayed overnight at the Zoofari lodge and we thought it was a brilliant way to see the zoo. It was pricy (>$600 for one night for a couple), but that money goes directly to supporting the zoo's conservation efforts - they said that about 50% of the zoos income comes from the Lodge and... Overall a wonderful experience! It was amazing to be able to see giraffes and ostriches stroll by your front door. The room was very nice, but since the walls are canvas (to emulate a tent) the air conditioner found it hard to keep the place warm in the middle of winter. We stayed two nights and found this was essential... More

What a fantastic thing to do! We arrived at the zoo in time to have a late lunch on the first day, but if you arrive earlier bikes are included in your stay. After a short check-in process they explained where top go at 2pm. We were Cheetahs and our cabin/tent was very comfortable and stylish! The room is heated/cooled... More

This is one of the best experience you could have without going to Africa. The accommodation is in a Clamping style tent with all the luxuries of a 4 to 5 star hotel room except the hotel does not have the view. You arrive between 2 and 3 in the afternoon and the gazelle and the giraffe are just wandering... More

We stayed here for one night. We couldn't check in until 2pm and the first tour was 3.20 so by the time we checked in and got unpacked it was time to zoom off without any time to enjoy the accomodation or check out the animals. The tour was awesome, very interesting and saw some amazing animals. Got back to... More

My eldest son organised our immediate family group of 11, from our 1 year old grandson to my 98 year old father in law, for a weekend at Zoofari Lodge to celebrate a very significant birthday. The zoo staff couldn't have been more helpful, from the initial booking right through the whole weekend, minibus tours, dinner, breakfast, etc. Our tour guide... More

Our zoofari was dampened by wet weather, but we still loved it. Nice banquet dinner and delicious breakfast. Loved the inside tours and animal feeding. Lots of fun for kids. Tent was luxurious and had a huge bath. Comfy bed and a pillow menu. Animals viewed from our balcony included ostriches, deer, giraffes. Loved it.

Had a great weekend at Zoofari in the Western Plain Zoo. The zoo itself is great, being able to ride a bike through the whole zoo with animals having large areas to freely roam. Zoofari adds the special touch, taking you behind the scenes (both evening and morning) to see the animals being fed up close and personal, which was... More
