This establishment was a last minute booking thru Airbnb. An old style guest house with many rooms, communal lounges and kitchen. Full size pool table. It was a very cold night but the oil heaters and fire places did their thing There is no manager on the premises but is a phone call away. Would recommend as an alternative to... More

Fantastic old house. Didn't want to leave. If I return to Dubbo I would definitely stay there again. Drove the couple of kilometers in to town to have dinner but decided to get take away so we could spend as much time in the house. Didn't bother watching t.v so we could explore the house and play snooker on the... More

We booked 5 of the 6 rooms here, 7 adults and 6 children. We were told we'd be the only group staying. On arrival we thought the house was fantastic. A little run down, yes but fantastic all the same. Peter had stocked the kitchen and everything was ready for us. There was no instructions for the tv so we... More

A unique place to stay for us and our two young boys, and so different to the usual Dubbo motel in town. Plenty of space to run around, everything we needed in the kitchen and bedroom, a quiet peaceful place and lovely to get a taste of the olden days. And we could bring our dog! It didn't matter that... More

A history nerd's paradise - so many amazing original features! Although some parts of the house are a little tired, the scale and history of this place is enough to make your imagination run wild. Also, be prepared to be harassed by a delightful resident cat! Made me feel right at home!

Called late in the day as we were traveling from Melbourne and not sure how far we would make it. Peter, was so nice on the phone, upgraded us as we had the whole house to ourselves. When we arrived we were pretty sure we had the wrong place, no way this beautiful house could be a B&B. what the... More

We stayed as a group for which this place is perfect! I would be hesitant to book this if it was just for a couple or one family as you're in each others space quite a lot. The Good: * Lovely and spacious. * Great large pool table and family areas. * Huge kitchen and dining table. * Lovely bathrooms,... More

full of character, relaxing and quiet, with a pool, foxtel and comfortable beds. It is very much help yourself as there are no staff on site. The security is a concern with no bedrooms being lockable. However we really enjoyed our stay. Its hard to find if you do not know Dubbo and the best directions is the closest cross... More

We chose to stay here as my great great grandfather had built the house back in the 1880's. On the plus side the use of period furniture and four poster beds really made you fee laws though you were stepping back in time. Although the bedrooms were quite gloomy they were also very cool which is perfect in the Dubbo... More
