Whilst our view of this caravan park may have been coloured by the cold and wet day of our arrival, it did seem to need a bit more TLC. Furthermore, do not expect to have a lovely grassed site overlooking the lake. The lake views are rather elusive and the staff attitude tended toward a take it or leave it... More

Geez, seriously, is this the best Broken Hill can do? Positioning unpowered campers in a rough-as-guts "tip" next to the din of the Barrier Highway is appalling. But there's more. If you go into the kitchen (a proverbial half-way house for cockroaches) take some disinfectant for your hands -- it is a fetid, run-down and unwelcoming place to contemplate anything,... More

We stayed one night and my handbag was stolen. Beware. Other than that it was ok and the receptionist was friendly and helpful and said that she heard there has been a few snatch and grabs lately. Site was not level and no paths to the amenities. Poor lighting too.

A fantastic place to stay! Extra clean facilities and well maintained. Showers are very hot and if you are into your showers, this place has great shower pressure. Amy and Daniel are very friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The only park which allows you to have a fire. I... More

Old amenities not real clean, $35 a night for powered caravan site but extra $ for camp kitchen BBQ!, also most expensive ($5) for washing machine and ($5) for dryer - we've come across in 6 mths of travelling. Broken Hill was worth visiting due to the history, sad that so many miners have died in their work over the... More

No Lake View but apparently there used to be a Lake there. We stayed in one of the cheaper cabins- each sleep 4 - 2 bunks and a double bed, tea/coffee facilities, TV & ensuite. Comfortable but basic and look aged ( need to supply own linen). The camp itself is a decent size and has facilities for all types of... More

Obviously going through some dramas with weather etc with the lack of grass and the sites are a abit uneven ,the camp kitchen is just hanging in there and it's a charge to use the bbq in there but the showers are hot and super clean ( the young lady with the red hair cleaning around the place is really... We had a caravan site here for one night. The person in reception was very helpful. The toilet block was old fashioned but very clean. The kids playground could do with overhauling- but my kids played on it for a short time. The pool looked nice ( we were there in Winter so too cold for swimming )

Whilst the cabin we stayed in was cheap for a city, it was sparsely furnished, could hear the neighbours get up at 4.30 am, and furniture could do with a makeover. On the positive it is a bit out of town and away from the highways (compared to other parks). If on a budget .....we are.

New owners are doing a wondeful job of bring this park up to a better standard. Facilities are clean, sites are spacious and owners are very helpful and friendly. Pool is great. Park offers value for money.
