Our family stayed at Barcoo Farmstay on 13th and 14th January 2016 (on the way to Dubbo Zoo). We had a fantastic time. Farm activities are performed in the mornings and afternoons and you have the day to yourselves to either relax or go into Bathurst for the day. We were extremely lucky in that the day we were there... More

Thank you so much for this delightful review. We certainly enjoyed your stay and it is so much fun when guests immerse themselves totally into whatever is happening at our farm. Including rain (glorious rain), and the electric fence!!!!!! More

This was a fantastic farmstay experience for my two-and-a-half year old, as well as for me and my husband! Too bad my six-month-old was still too young to appreciate it. Elaine and Ken were awesome hosts! We looked forward to freshly-baked bread every morning to go with the eggs we picked the day before. We stayed at the Valley View... More

Really enjoyed our time here. At the time we were a family with 2 year old boy and a 3 week old boy. My 2 year old loved feeding the pigs, sheep, lambs, chickens and ducks. He really enjoyed the pony rides. He also loved being hands-on collecting eggs for breakfast the next morning. Elaine and Ken have obviously put... More

If you have kids that love animals this is the place to go. Elaine and Ken are very accommodating and will ensure a good time is had by all. Kids will learn what it takes to look after animals and have the joy of riding a pony or two and getting their very own tractor learners license.

As we left Barcoos she waved goodbye to all her animal friends and said she didn't want to go back to the city. She's normally very concerned with brushing even the slightest crumb off her pants but for 3 days straight she was getting muddy from head to toe, caring for animals and bossing them around and felt quite proud... Our family loved this experience and getting to meet Elaine, Ken, and the family of animals at Barcoos! Special highlights were the pony rides with Coco and Hunter, in addition to the newborn lambs. My 3yr old daughter and 5 year old boy quickly warmed to the animals and had a very memorable time. Thank you Elaine for sharing your... More

Out from the UK visiting our family in Sydney this proved an excellent time together for us all. We stayed in the original farmhouse which was very comfortable and full of history. The log burner with logs provided did prove useful. The owners have developed a wide range of activities feeding different animals, different types of rides even tractors. So... More

A great place to camp with heaps of room, showers and water. Campsites are huge which makes for quiet sleeping and private entertaining, and only a few minutes from Bathurst city and Mount Panarama. Well Elaine & Ken

Thank you Elaine and Ken for making our 3 night stay at Barcoos a fabulous experience. I was amazed to see so many animals, pigs, draft horses, chickens, shetland pony's, sheep, cows, bulls, dogs and of course our native kangaroos. The scenery is spectacular, everything so green and lush, I loved our cozy accommodation, all very clean and well appointed.... More

The owners Elaine and Ken are incredibly pleasant people to be around. The animals are fantastic. My daughter (10) had an amazing time. The animals are sweet, funny, endearing, curious, and entertaining. Milking cows, feeding chickens, collecting eggs, hugging Clydesdales, feeding lambs, riding a massive tractor, etc etc. Sulky (pony drawn carriage) rides are great. The fun is never-ending. Life...
