Very comfortable after days of bushwalking and evenings at the Armadale club....I didn't order the breakfast but if I had read the reviews I might have....main minor criticism is the air freshener smell..essential oils might be a better choice :-)

Stayed here for a few nights again and recently as we always do and were greeted by relief managers who did as great a job as the owners usually do. Highly recommended you stay here when in Armidale, the location of the motel along with the Bowling Club directly across the road makes dining and getting around all to easy!... More

The room was in need of an update, had an overriding smell, including air freshner through the bed. Very bad smell in toilet shower. Have stayed in other rooms and they were acceptable.Overall did not feel clean.

Have stayed several times and always faultless - very clean and comfortable Close to plenty of options for eating and only a short stroll to the centre of the city. Would deem the Sandstock as reasonably quiet in regards to road traffic and a good value stay

We chose this motel because it was small and all ground level. The owners run the motel and they were lovely. The rooms are old but they are well presented with room to move. Within walking distance to eateries and shopping.

I guess bad experiences with inconsiderate guests have turned the owners/managers into electricity police and towel nazis. There are several signs in the room about not using towels for make-up, muddy boots and car windscreens - and turning off electricity. I'm not a fan of these little signs when you're paying a decent rate for accommodation. Despite that, it was... More

Very clean room, and room quite large compared to some hotel rooms. Easy to book (emailed direct and mentioned special deal they advertised on Tripadvisor for 5% discount and free bottle of wine - yeah!) Close to bowling club for dinner, free wifi, plunger coffee and parking out the front of room. Glenn at checkin and checkout was lovely, loves... More

Last minute booking and from beginning everything was excellent . Accommodation was very comfortable with no issues. Short walk to eateries and shopping centre. Very hard to get today for closeness of these facilities. Recommend to all to try.

Travelled again and stayed with the lovely folks at the Sandstock. Without a doubt the most welcoming and centrally located accommodation in Armidale. The rooms are quiet, clean, comfortable and have everything needed when travelling. We won't stay anywhere else in Armidale and will most definitely be back.
