My husband actually booked this and he gets 10 out of 10 for picking a great place! having motorbiked over most of new zealand's roads, he knows some great places that deserve a longer stopover. Gay is such an interesting character and we just loved talking to her! first of all she upgraded us to the bigger room which was... More

This is the perfect spot to enjoy and experience the highly recommended Charming Creek Walkway,a 19-km return hike from the B&B. The B&B is also located right across from the beach and access is less than a 2 minute walk away. Host Gay runs a very clean and well appointed retreat. Her rooms are updated and spacious with tasteful furnishings... More

We were wending our way of the West Coast and by staying at this location we were able to access some lovely day hikes that were fairly nearby. This is truly a 'charming' little place to stay and we had a lovely warm welcome. The layout is not only convenient and offers each of the rooms lovely privacy and space,... More

We were absolutely delighted with the welcome at this lovely B & B. the location offered great access to sightseeing, golf, great food, and a lovely almost deserted beach. Our room was large, clean, well appointed and self contained with a separate entrance. The bathroom was very well appointed, lovely large deck to sit on. Our hostess keeps a well stocked... More

This is a excellent place for a stop over. We booked this stay as a stop over to break up the trip. We arrived in the middle of a down pour. It rained the entire night and we were not able to benefit al the area activity. That being said, this is a very nicely run b&b. The host was... More

Stayed at the beach nest self contained cottage. Highly recommend. Very relaxing stay. Clean and comfy, nice private garden. Washing machine. Well equipped kitchenette. The hot tub is a must. Beautiful wild beach. Great place to base yourself for mountainbiking trips, driving distance to seddonville end of old ghost road. Bike wash facilities and a shed to lock bikes provided.

We have in the past stayed at the b&b and its great . Last few occasions we have gone with the self catering beach nest. The compact accommodation is warm clean and provides everything you need for a comfortable stay . The best thing is the privacy and absolute beachfront location . Always plenty of treasures to roam the Beach... More

We were fortunate. As the only guests at the B&B that night, we were able to enjoy an excellent dinner prepared by our hostess Gay. As dog lovers we were pleased to be greeted by the resident Shelties - though they are only allowed to mingle with the approval of guests. We were just passing through so were not able... More

Charming hostess, excellent accommodation and all-round facilities. Convenient to local pub fit meals and drinks. Right by the beach without being beach front, lots of great walks on the doorstep, lots of local history and a very well-informed and welcoming hostess. Well worth seeking out, you won't regret your choice. Definitely one for a repeat visit.
