Great location and good facilities with very helpful advice and recommendations. The upgrade to the larger room was wonderful and we had plenty of space for the 5 of us. Comfortable beds, quiet at night and a beautiful 10 minute walk to the shops one way or 2 minutes to the lakeside walk the other.

The motel owner is really helpful and gives us a lot of tips especially when we are nervous about going to milford sound if driving alone. He takes care of us very well and ensure we could have whatever we need. It was a really great place to stay!

We stayed here for one night after hiking the Kepler Track and we were welcomed by super friendly staff who knew exactly what we needed after coming off the trail. He gave us a nice room with a bathtub, helped us crank up the heat in our room, gave us all the bath salts we needed, and a bottle of... More

Very friendly and helpful motel owner. Nice location albeit at the edge of the town, but only a short walk to the pubs and restaurants. Nice motel, very clean and well maintained, but perhaps a little dated. Would not hesitate to stay again though

First time at this motel. Cheaper style than we usually go for but what a pleasant surprise . From the minute we arrived we were warmly greeted by Robyn the owner/operator who was a great bundle of local knowledge. The room itself was a two bedroom apartment with everything you could possibly want & I mean everything. The smallest detail... More

Cons - The owner on checking in was abrupt, rude and very unwelcoming. The decor in the unit was extremely outdated. The bed was unconformable and the bed clothes, while they were probably clean, were so old that they made the bed feel grubby and uninviting. The bathroom was really small and the whole unit felt almost damp, with only... More

We did not stay here, there was confusion over our booking, the manager was very unprofessional and abrupt, blaming us with no comprises, so we went next door, had a lovely room with great staff and all for a lesser price than the manager had offered, take it or leave was the best he could offer HJP

This was our least favorite stay of the trip. Our room was very old and had a musty smell. It was clean. The bathroom was inconvenient and small. Lack of outlets for charging devices in bedroom. Owner was flustered and impatient on our arrival. The location was fine.

The local manager is efficient and thorough but not very personable and occasionally abrupt. We had a second floor unit in the front on a night with little breeze so it was hot inside. The interior was clean and the kitchenette and bedding good. This was a stopover night for us after returning from five days on Doubtful Sound so... More

We stayed in one of the upstairs studios with a nice little balcony with lake views. Well designed studio with well equipped kitchenette. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Robin was a very enthusiastic and helpful owner. Good location opposite Visitors Centre. We enjoyed our stay here.
