Amazing stay at this B&B. We arrived late at the small residential house and was promptly shown to our room, which was located in a separate house. The room was nicely appointed with nice decor, heated floors, and a small kitchen area. Everything was meticulously clean. My husband usually avoids staying at B&B's because of the lack of privacy and... More

I can't describe how much I love this B&B. Between the friendly owners, the heated floors in the bathroom, heated towel racks, wonderful location and setting, botique lotions/washes, and comfort of the room, you absolutely cannot go wrong booking a stay here. I felt like I was home as soon as I checked in. I am already wondering when I... More

Blue Ridge is an easy walk from the town and lake, but in a very quiet location. We stayed for two nights in a very comfortable room, equipped with mini kitchen facilities and a pleasant outside seating area. Julia and Phillip made us most welcome. As we had an early start one day (a trip to Milford Sound), Julia made... More

The property is in a quiet residential street just a few minutes from the main thoroughfare containing restaurants etc. We stayed in a self contained studio unit with kitchenette. Breakfast is served in the main house which was very good and Julia, the host, is very friendly. We took tours to both Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound and were picked... More

Just an overnight stop before the Doubtful Sound cruise at the start of our trip round the South Island in this very well situated B&B. We had a large suite in the house itself rather than the separate block and our hosts were very helpful with recommendations as to where to eat. Excellent breakfast. Don't miss the showing of Shadowland... More

We stayed in a "garden" room which was very clean and well equipped with a fridge, sink and cooking facilities. Lovely outside area which we made full use of as the weather was hot and sunny. Philip and Julia made us feel very much at home and nothing was too much trouble. Very comfy bed and pillows. Great breakfast. We... More

Philip and Julia are wonderful hosts, the rooms are well appointed and spacious, the breakfasts were great. It is close to town and Lake Te Anau- within walking distance. Staying at B&B's is the best way to see a country and meet the people. Next time we come back, we will stay longer.

We have a nice stay at Blue Ridge. Definitely a step-up from regular motel, and Julia is really nice. That being said the accomodation was not on the same level as previous b&b we did in this country: we did not feel a particular "new zealand" charm to it, and we could hear our neighbors quite well.

Philip and Julia were an amazing couple who welcomed us into their home as long lost friends. If we stayed any longer we would have been adopted!! Lol. We will remember our whole wonderful experience of New Zealand from their warmth, friendliness and hospitality. When we return to NZ we will definitely stay here again to sample their generosity of... More

Two nights in this welcoming and friendly B&B are not enough. The room was clean and very comfortable, with the best pillows we had throughout our month in NZ. Thank you to Julia and Philip for making our stay so enjoyable and for the delicious breakfasts. Missing the cats!
