The location cannot be faulted as it is located in the edge of the lake with panoramic views. We hired a Lakeview Family Motel which proved to be quite basic. The place was clean and the beds comfortable. We did not use the kitchen but with a two plate hob and microwave it appeared well equipped. The bathroom was very...

Stayed for 2 nights, staff were very helpful with our last-minute booking. Stayed in a simple bunkroom, fantastic value. The room was simple but comfortable. The communal kitchen and dining facilities were quite nice and had everything we needed. My only comment would be that it gets quite busy, more tables and couches would be good. The communal bathroom/shower facilities...

We stayed in an ensuite cabin. Very spacious, clean, and good amenities. Was a stop through place for us when visiting Milford sounds, so a short stay. Has a very nice lake infront for the casual swim. Was hot during our stay, and the cabins are more catered for winter (heater, heated towel rail etc..) We did open the windows,...

We were unable to find a hotel or motel room in the town and booked a cabin here. Even though it was very small and did not gave a private bathroom it was a great place to stay. Comfortable twin bedded cabin, clean and tidy with friendly staff - the shared amenities were impeccably presented. The location is within a...

We booked here for two nights....it was fantastic. Clean room, awesome view of the lake, well equipped kitchen, walking distance to town, pleasant people at the front desk. There should be a separate category for this place in trip advisor - it is hard to understand that this type of beautiful accommodation is in a Holiday Park.

The 'Steamers' backpackers lodge is nestled right in front of the beautiful vast Te Anau lake and near the Kepler bushwalking track and bird sanctuary. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens are basic but clean and had everything I needed. They offer FREE WIFI but there is a daily limit and the speed is patchy at times. There is a clothesline...

Friendly, helpful staff. Laundry area was a bit small - inconsiderate fellow holiday makers made it difficult! But apart from that lovely hot water, clean showers/toilets, comfy bed/motel room. Would rcommend as a good base for the fiordland.

I spent three nights in the backpackers section here (Steamers Beach Backpackers) and found the place to be nice and clean, well located, and the facilities were fantastic. Great Value for money, and not a bad place to stay at all. Staff were lovely on check-in and check-out. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

For a 'holiday park' the facilities are exceptional: Plenty of space for tents, caravans & campervans. Plenty of options of accommodation - backpackers to family units. The multiple communal facilities are modern, comfortable and kept clean. There is an extensive children's playground. The lake and beach are just across the road, as is the DOC office for track bookings. The...

We stayed 2 nights in the luxmoor cabins, our room and all the facilities were so clean and tidy. We were very impressed. Our 2 young children loved playing in the playground. Overall our stay was perfect.
