We only spent one night at Bella Vista before heading off to walk the Kepler Track. Despite our short stay, we found the service warm and friendly and the rooms, while small, very clean and comfortable. It was located within an easy walking distance to town, but still very quiet. I would have no hesitation recommending the Bella Vista.

On the first stay I was in one of the upstairs Queen rooms, and was grateful for the assistance offered with carrying my luggage up to the room, although given that I was about to hike 60km over the next 4 days, the one flight of stairs was not going to be much of a challenge even if help had...

Well maintained, has all the essentials - friendly, helpful reception. Close to main street. Good heating. The room we had was rather cosy, but well organised. Would definitely recommend. Only thing 'Bella Vista' had no bella vista!

Everything was good. Portable cooktop was a little odd but worked ok but bench space is really limited. Hairdryer was in the drawer of the main room, rubbish bins in the bathroom but once you find your feet it is a well priced room in Te anau. Not the flashiest place and we have stayed in nicer for less but...

We were only here one night, leaving early in the morning for a Milford Sound tour. The rooms are quite small, but the bed was great - comfortable and clean (we booked a king room and the bed was definitely king size). Everything was clean and tidy, with a good, efficient heater. No noise during the night, the internet connection...

Our room in this motel (#17) was called a queen studio. There was barely room for the bed in the room, with only two chairs and no place for luggage. It did come equipped with a small refrigerator and was clean. The WiFi was very slow and intermittent.

Our 2 night stay was very comfortable. This property has changed staff recently and our manager was not up to speed on all the local tour operators. But that didn't effect us as we had prebooked our trip to Milford Sound. Our room was on the top level. It would have been rated higher if the staff had offered to...

Clean, comfortable rooms. Common laundry facilities provided. Toiletries, fridge, microwave, plates/bowls and cutlery provided. Rooms were heated and was cleaned daily. Staff were helpful and gave us tips on the locality. Walking distance to local restaurants and super market.

A fairly standard motel nice clean rooms but the name is a misnomer unless you have a thing for carparks.Friendly helpful staff and a short walk to the lake and town centre. Te Anau gets quite busy at this time of year so it pays to book accommodation in advance

Our room was perfect for the $$. Refrigerator, ok size bath, comfy bed, plenty of hot water and heat. Stayed 3 nights and would recommend staying here. Also we were on the Real Journey's pickup route. Good food and souvenir shopping in Te Anau!!
