Amber Court whilst not a Palazzo Versace, definitely punches above it's weight. Many others could take a leaf out of Craig's book and benefit. Amber Court is an older style Motel but with exceptionally clean rooms, well laid out, cumfy large beds, wifi, decent large flat screen tv and other amenities. Highly recommend and would return again.

A old-style motel feel when driving in but we loved the rose-filled gardens outside our sliding door, the sunlight streaming in our room, and the comfortable, clean accommodations. The kitchen and bath were both functional. Easy access to on-site laundry. The lake front is a short walk away. It is a little further, but walkable to dining and shopping.

The room:- We were able to park the car right outside the room which was useful. The kitchen is functional and fit for purpose. The beds were comfortable and a decent size. Seems to be a family run business and they were accommodating with our questions and requests. The location:- It's about a 2 minute drive to town and 5...

We stayed 2 nights at Amber Court and found it spotlessly clean, well equiped, comfortable & just a 10-15 minute walk from the restaurants. Its not right on the lake, but just a block behind and there is a lane you can cut through to get to the waterfront. The parking is a little tight, but it's not a problem as you can park on the...

- Good location, not lake front, but it's small town, walking distance to the town center and lake - Rooms are big and very spacious; clean and in good condition; - nice/helpful owner, they live on-site - free wifi (not very common in NZ :-))

We had three nights at the Amber Court and found it to be very suitable for what we wanted, as we were mainly there to visit both Doubtful & Milford Sound. The rooms were immaculately clean, well appointed and very comfortable. We self catered for the three nights and had everything we needed at our finger tips, including a very...

We visited Te Anua with my 2 grandchildren and 2 daughters and had a great time at the Glow Worms and Doubtful Sounds. The Motel suited us perfectly with 3 bedrooms and 5 beds plus 2 bathrooms and great kitchen facilities. So all in a a very good choice.

Jill and Craig couldn't have been more perfect hosts during our two night stay at the motel. From cleaning the grill to use, detailed instructions for driving to Milford Sound, and changing our reservations to meet our changing plans, everything went smoothly. The rooms are spacious, clean, and freshly refurbished. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the items we needed...

Spacious two room accommodation with a kitchenette. Clean and in good condition. Friendly staff. Internet connection was intermittent until it stopped working on the morning of our third day here. This is a comfortable but not at all luxurious motel.

The room was spacious, looked new and well-kept. Everything was in their proper place and we could tell that the owner/manager took good care of the motel. It's a very short drive or walk from the town centre and highways yet nicely nestled away from traffic noise. It was a very comfortable and cosy stay for us.
