We stayed several nights here and were very comfortable. The rooms are on the large side and several face the beautiful harbor below. There is a guest lounge available with comfortable furniture and binocs for observing the bay and wildlife. Birds abound--we saw several species right from our room and its deck area. Breakfast is served at one table, and...

My wife and I stayed for two nights. We were collected of the ferry and given a short tour around the quaint Oban.On arrival at the lodge we were shown to our room by Lisa who explained all about the village, walks etc. Our room was comfortable with all the expectant amenities. There were chairs and tables outside and a...

We stayed at the Stewart Island Lodge for 2 nights (1st - 3rd February 2017). From being met at the ferry terminal on the island to leaving we had the perfect time. We were made to feel very welcome. Our room was excellent with the most amazing view of Halfmoon Bay. The lodge is extremely comfortable with a homely feel,...

This is a lovely lodge with large comfortable rooms (with a nice bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe) and friendly, informative staff. We stayed for three nights. The breakfast was good. Convenient for the ferry and restaurants. It was very welcoming to be met from the ferry.

Stewart Island was a delightful experience. The one and a bit hour ferry trip across from Bluff was calm and enjoyable. Stewart's scenery is spectacular, the people down-to-earth and welcoming (all 380 of them) and the blue cod superb. Stewart Island Lodge is hard to beat for views, comfort, service and proximity to town, although, be warned, part of the...

We spent 3 nights here, and loved it. The rooms are super comfortable and well appointed, I particularly liked the separate luggage room which made it easy to keep the room tidy, and the deep bath after a days walking. There is a fabulous view down over Oban - the down side is this means a steep hill to walk...

If it's good enough for HRH Prince Harry then it's good enough for us. Bed comfy and Lisa the hostess was both welcoming and accomodating. Breakfast buffet included in price, this offered an impressive selection and guests used the time to share experiences on Stewart Island. Wonderful. Recommend for couples not so much for small children.
