We have lived on four continents and stayed in many hotels over the years but our latest stay at QBH was exceptional. We visited this wonderful boutique hotel for the second time last week. We loved our first visit and were so pleased to spend another week there. As before, the staff were so welcoming and made us feel at home. The wine and delicious canapes were served with charm and humour by Lenny and Ella who were wonderful hosts. What we didn't expect was that on the early evening of our 4th evening, New Zealand would go into lockdown. It was very unexpected and rather a shock. Queenstown had a few thousand misplaced holiday makers trying to get flights back home as we only had 48 hours to manage this. Air New Zealand worked hard to get everyone home, negotiating with the government to give us all more time to get on a flight. We had hours spent on hold and then flights would be cancelled five minutes later by text and we would start all over agin. We spent a lot of time in our room or walking by the lake looking at the snow which we would never get to play on. We managed to get a flight home on the third day, a day ahead of schedule. Throughout this time the staff including Marika who was duty manager on those days, were so kind and went out of their way to look after us and make sure we had all we needed whilst being socially distanced. Our breakfast was delivered to our room every morning and the wine and canapes which we did not expect were delivered in the evening with top ups offered and left outside the door. The hotel does not offer dinner but on our last night when we were the last guests on the premises, the chef stayed late and cooked us a beautiful meal. Lenny poured generous glasses of wine from a distance and we were again made to feel very much at home. We cannot recommend this hotel and staff highly enough. They went far beyond the call of duty and truly were The Angels of Lockdown. Thank you so much to all of you and forgive me if i missed any names. A bIg virtual hug from the Jackson three. QBH. You are simply the best.

Hotel's Favorite
My girlfriend (now fiance) and I have travelled the world and stayed at numerous hotels. This hotel and especially the staff really set this hotel apart from any experience we've ever had on any travels we've had to date. They set the new gold standard for what we consider service excellence. First, the hotel - it is very situated, located within easy walking distance of downtown Queenstown - tis literally 5min to all downtown bits. It is also withing walking distance for a couple hikes - Queenstown Hill and Ben Lomond. The hotel has a small underground carpark with a little lift to carry you and your stuff up to the main level. Second - the rooms - we had a regular little room, they are well appointed, modern and had all the mod cons for a stay including a little fridge, burner, etc. Great for storing your bits and pieces. The view out was nice, had a little balcony that looked out towards the gondolas. The suites are really nice and if you're able to, I'd recommend upgrading to those, especially if you're staying for a period of time. There is much more space and the views are really nice of the local park + the Remarkables mountain range. Third - the breakfasts - superb! freshest ingredients used - the cooks are amazing - Lia and Andrew get BIG shout-outs for the incredible breakfasts made. Not only can you order a la carte they also would make their own breakfasts for you (if you ask them) - they are creative and so delicious. The breakfast staff were super friendly and will do anything to make sure you enjoy your meal. Talk about staff - this is what really sets this place apart. All the staff were amazing, friendly and genuinely wanted to know about you and your trip. They made sure your trip was good and would make calls to ensure everything was set and in order. Fran - the general manager was incredible as a host. He truly looks after the guests and the hotel and this was evident through the staff interactions as well as the way the hotel was run. Every evening, the hotel hosts a canape and drinks social hour. Great little nibbles with a selection of wines and beers to drink. The food was delicious and it was a great way to meet hotel staff as well as other folks staying at the hotel. I found this hotel through Trip Advisor - I want to pay you guys back (thank you!!), this hotel is truly the best hotel we've stayed at and can't recommend it high enough. When we come back to Queenstown, we'll definitely stay here again. Thank you Fran, Lia, Andrew and all the staff at Queenstown Park Boutique hotel, you made the trip very special for us.

Staying here was a special occasion return to Queenstown after 28 years when we came for our honeymoon. Staying at The Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel was the best decision. The room was large and attractive. Pre dinner drinks and canapes in the evening were a real treat. The atmosphere was so relaxing and friendly. The staff were really attentive, special mention to Marika and Ella. The hotel was so close to everything. We could watch the gondola from our room window. Late check out was welcomed. Easy parking, even for the day of check out, meant no hassles. We expected a great time and were not disappointed. Thoroughly recommend.
