Rose and her team were exceptionally welcoming and accomodating! The hotel itself is amazing but the team of professionals that work there made it that much better! The hotel itself is right in the heart of the city and close to all the main attractions.

Hotel's Favorite
Let's be honest, when you are going on holiday, you dream of luxury...You always want amazing service and the most incredible location. Trust us, the Sofitel Queenstown has it all. From the second you arrive you are treated like a VIP and this continues for the entirety of your stay. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff also make an effort to know your name which really personalizes the service. All staff at the Sofitel are incredibly professional, polite, kind, and will do anything to make your stay extra special. Our room, wow - it was stunning! The amenities are divine, the robes are plush, the bedding is luxurious, and our room was spotlessly immaculate. There were no shortcuts taken with cleaning during our stay, even the smallest thing that you use is replenished the very next day. Housekeeping is amazing, we left a gift for them to thank them so much for all they did for us during our stay. The French day-core is demure and enchanting, everywhere you look is absolutely gorgeous, it is a real feast for the eyes. We made the decision to upgrade to a floor with Club Room access and we are so glad we did. The Club Room is beautiful and you receive hot tapas-like treats, as well as various other snacks, and a wide range of beverages too. This room can only be accessed with your room card so does not get used by those who have not paid for it. We always felt so welcome and relaxed in there, and enjoyed going each night that we stayed. In terms of location, you really could not get any closer to the heart of Queenstown. Everything is within a short walk away and it is so easy to come and go from the Hotel as you need, or want to. My husband had been to Queenstown many times, however, this was my first. I have been one of the Kiwis who had NZ stop at Wellington.....until the borders were closed. Queenstown is now my new favourite place ever, I absolutely love it, and this beautiful Hotel. I have told so many people about our stay, both in person and on social media and many have chosen to also come and stay at The Sofitel due to our feedback., as they know how fussy we are, and the types of places we like to stay. It has been a pleasure to send so much business to The Sofitel, we know it has been a very tricky time for Hotel's over the last year. We have now rebooked to stay again in April and cannot wait to come back, see the staff and create more magical memories together. This time we have a full week to indulge in French luxury at it's finest. We have had issues in the past when online photos do not reflect the actual condition of the premises, but this is NOT the case with The Sofitel. The Hotel looks exactly as it does in photos, in real life. It is stunning. We promise to write another review after our next stay and will post more photos too. See you soon, Sofitel Team. We are bursting to come back. Tarsha and Kristian Bray

The Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa was an absolute delight to stay at during our Queenstown holiday. My husband and I have stayed at many 5-star hotels during our travels, and this was like finding treasure! The hotel staff (every one of them that we encountered) were enchanting. Lisa, the Guest Relations Executive (who is now on Maternity leave) delivered 100% first class customer service, her personality is glowing. She has passed those reigns to Sam, who we met on reception. He is a remarkable individual who is very passionate about delivering a first-rate service. Matt the Operations Manager has this place ticking over with perfection. You’ll always see him around the place, and he is very approachable.   Honourable mentions go out to Pankaj, Ralph and Mikayla, staff from the 1789 Restaurant and Left Bank Bistro - the in-house dining venues. The ambience in this hotel is warm and inviting, it has a chic and boutique feel about it. With all the staff well-groomed and professional. It felt like you were a first-class guest on the Titanic and it didn't sink! Nothing was too much trouble. Even hotel guests found it easy to bond with each other and start friendships and I believe this was down to how comfortable the team at Sofitel Queenstown make everyone feel.   The decor and finishing’s were beautiful, the food was fantastic, the location was ideal, every surface and corner were spotless. It was the perfect place to stay during our 5-night break. If you are considering places to stay in Queenstown, then the Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa needs to be top of your list. We cannot wait to go back......

Bonjour Thairone, Thank you so very much for your incredible review! This really is such kind and positive feedback, and our staff will be absolutely chuffed to hear such lovely comments. This sort of feedback will really improve our teams confidence and make a lot of people's days. I would personally like to thank you specifically for mentioning everyone by name and remembering such fine details. It really is great to read that you've enjoyed your experience throughout the hotel, but especially in our dining outlets! I know that you were looking forward to trying them out! Both yourself and your husband were an absolute pleasure to host, and are the kind of people that remind us all why we love hospitality so much. Thank you truly for your encouragement and we look very much forward to welcoming you back soon. If there's ever anything that we can assist with, please feel free to reach out directly. Sincerely, Samuel Allum Guest Relations Executive
