My wife and I stayed in the Spire Suite and it was just perfect. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The Suite is awesome. In room dining was very surprising, not your normal fare, and can highly recommend after a long day out

Wonderful room - large, spacious and spotless. Plenty of places to pop your luggage. Well appointed bathroom with heated floor tiles which was a welcome treat in winter. Great pressure in the shower and beautiful, nourishing body and hair products. The bed and pillow are comfy, as are the lounge and arm chair. The fireplace is cosy and lovely to watch. Complimentary mini bar products are good quality and mostly local. We had a decent size balcony with chairs. You could see out to parts of the lake and mountains. The location is fantastic - right in the heart of Queenstown. There is a strip club and late night bars across the lane. It meant some noise but nothing that worried us, and definately nothing consistent. Our breakfast was at the sister property for the duration of our stay - the breakfast was ok. The Spires new restaurant was just opening as we left. Looking forward to returning

Wifey and I decided to have a 4-day break so jetted down to Queenstown and stayed at the 5* Spire Hotel, right in the heart of town. Wow, from beginning to end we were made to feel so special, our accommodation was amazing, the staff went out of their way to ensure everything was no problem, from booking restaurants, to valet parking our car, turning the room each morning and night, all of it! Cassandre was simply wonderful, her professionalism mixed with friendliness and supreme customer service was outstanding, she is a true asset to the hotel. She even called us the day before we arrived to check if there was anything they could do for us in advance of our are. Cassandre, keep on doing what you are doing. Thank you so much to all, we highly recommend this hotel.

Everything about our stay at The Spire was first rate. From the friendly welcome from Luz at reception, to the stunning room - big on comfort and luxury, but super cozy at the same time. The mini bar was generous and delicious, while the view through the magical autumn leaves to the Lake was hard to leave. A big beautiful bath complete with delicious bath salts made the night super relaxing, and the bed was big and comfortable, with soft sheets and plenty of pillows. Breakfast was served with a smile by Luke at the Grille and we had the best seat in the house looking out at that mesmerising view. Now that we’ve experienced the Spire, there’s no doubt about where we’ll be staying next time we’re in Queenstown.

The first thing that impressed me when I walked into my Spire suite, was its size. These days, many hotels use the term “suite” for rooms that contain a bed and a chair, but not so with Spire. The entry way leads to a closet and storage area for suitcases. The roomy bathroom has two sinks, a shower, and a tub. There were plenty of lights. I enjoyed that one set of lights was near the floor, which was perfect for night. Unlike a lot of hotel bathrooms, the location and number of hooks and towel racks was perfect. The main area of the suite has a king size bed and a living room area with a couch, fireplace, speaker system, and mini-bar. The balcony was large and had a good sized table and chairs. The block out curtains ensured a good night’s sleep. Breakfast, served at a nearby sister property, was delicious. The staff were pleasant, courteous, and quite helpful. Spire is located down an alley, which makes it a quiet location in bustling Queenstown. It is a bit tricky to locate, as you can’t drive to the front door. There is no spire on the hotel!

This hotel was highly recommended- and so even though it was pricey with a “deal” on booking.com, I booked it. The room was well-appointed, spacious and comfortable. The bed was mediocre. They source New Zealand products for the bath, which I loved(I’ve ordered some for home). The mini bar is stocked with chips, whitacres chocolate bars and beverages. Everything is complimentary but the alcohol. The alcohol looked to be all New Zealand as well. There is reportedly a turndown service, but I didn’t see it. You are welcomed with a couple pieces of fudge each evening. The hotel staff reached out well before my trip offering to book tours, dinner and the like. My flight was one hour late arriving, so I missed my dinner reservation which they moved to the bar for me. Upon arrival, I was escorted to my room and given a quick tour of the room. Afterwards, and much to my surprise, I was walked to the bar. Now for the downside. The Laneway Suite (#4) that I was in is over an alleyway and very near to a popular bar. Both nights it was nearly 3am before the noise died down enough to allow sleep. Breakfast is included but inconvenient as you must walk to neighboring hotel for it. Front desk staff are also shared between the Eichardt private hotel and the Spire. Since my return, I’ve read many other reviews citing noise from the bar as a problem. The pat response seems to be”you should have told us- we have a good relationship with the bar owner and could have addressed the noise”. It seems like this is a planning issue, perhaps something could be worked out with the bar where there is not outdoor seating or congregating after 10 or 11 pm so as to allow hotel guests to rest?

This is a classy, yet modern, hotel located in the heart of Queenstown. We spent four wonderful nights here. The room is spacious and clean. The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. We could not recommend this hotel more highly.

We spent two nights in this beautiful hotel located in the heart of Queenstown near the shore of the lake. Our room offered great comfort, was quiet and had all expected amenities of a 5-star hotel. Breakfast which we had at the Grille nearby was fine too. We can definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here multiple times and we always feel incredibly welcomed. The place never disappoints. Close to town, big rooms, service with a smile. My one comment would be that its time for an update of the rooms - although meticulously maintained, the style is starting to wane. Keep up the great work people :)

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Exceptional room - great space, fire place, large and lux bathroom, very cozy bed. And despite staffing shortage in Queenstown the staff were all 10/10 and made sure we had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay again if I am in Queenstown.
