Booked here for 3 nights suppose to of got a room with a balcony and a king bed. Was put on ground floor, the "king" bed was 2 singles pushed together so there was a crack separating the 2 beds. Also a bug came out of the shower to greet me. Not nice. Also communal kitchen was disgusting, months worth of grime on the stove tops and most dishes were dirty

Stayed here for a few nights with my partner. Good value for money, clean rooms with friendly staff. Parking available and quiet location. It’s a little drive away from the main town so I’d recommend staying here if you have a car, otherwise it would be too difficult. Basic kitchenette however there is a communal kitchen and games room which is kept clean and tidy. Overall lovely place and decently priced.

I rely on photos to give me an idea of what a place is like, knowing full well the photos are professionally taken, likely when the place is new, and try to mentally compensate for it. For this lodge the exterior looked up to date so assumed the rooms were too, but that is not the case. The rooms are as shown, but with a fair bit of wear and tear. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location is fine - on the highway but not too noisy - but the rooms are kind of shabby, clean but in need of the same update the exterior got. The bed was okay, the linens crisp and unscented, but it was overall a bit disappointing. Moderate value I'd say. A sign in the kitchen says NZ regulations don't permit stoves or hot plates in rooms anymore, so anyone counting on cooking should avoid this place. All the other places we stayed in the week touring the South Island had stoves or hot plates.

IF you have your own car or rental car, then handy enough to stay here. relying on public transport to get here is a bit of a pain. I have stayed here twice and no issues so far, Quiet surroundings as you are away from the main township of Queenstown by almost 10 Minutes drive depending on Traffic. Do your research first on the location. The Rooms are comfortable, and the place has a communal kitchen and a pool table up there in the main communal hall. Reception is unmanned after 8pm but a service phone for the attendant overnight is in by the communal kitchen hall. Very reasonable price and it is really Quiet in the area here. Be sure to look where this is on a map before booking if you do not have your own transport. The place is Clean and well maintained and no issues on my two previous stays here. Check in is efficient and a bell to ring if no one is around. Very limited shop of some items in the reception area, drinks, snacks etc. Be mindful not many restaurants are in the area if you want a late night snack. Nice place and very quiet environment. Very peaceful sleep. The Wifi might need an upgrade and the cell reception is not good here if you are relaying on that due to location.

Me and my husband stayed here for one night. Very friendly staff who welcomed us and gave us recommendations of where to go for dinner. The room was very big with much more than we needed really. Lovely and clean. Own bathroom which was very modern and clean too. Our king bed was actually two beds pushed together which was ok but meant you couldn’t really lie over the join comfortably. However saying this, we had a very comfortable night. The location was fantastic. Lovely and local to Queenstown, could get a bus but we drove and it took 10 mins. Easy peasy.

We recently stayed here for five nights as a Rotary biking group. The Lodge was clean and comfortable with good sized rooms, a small fridge ( freezer needed de-icing!) , microwave and teas and coffee facilities . Excellent communal kitchen which was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed eating in the outdoor area as there were 16 of us. There were excellent barbecues and an attractive garden area. The location just outside of Queenstown didn’t bother us , as there is a regular bus service, which saved us from trying to find a park at night. The staff were efficient and friendly. We also enjoyed a lovely Burmese meal over the road at the Nugget Point Resort with spectacular views over the Shotover River.

Just as the pictures show, nothing fancy, but place had a mini fridge, kitchen sink and counter, microwave, tv, little mini living room and dining room. Overall room felt very spacious in comparison to other motels, even hotels. The bathroom was spacious, great water pressure, and cute natural shampoos and soaps which were a nice touch. Views outside were nice too, 10 minute or less drive to Queenstown (just down the hill). Only downside, wifi was really slow.

The hotel is a bit outside of Queenstown, we had rental car so it was no problem. There are no real shops around the area so if you need something buy it on the way there. The rooms were large, clean and had air condition. We used the laundry room which was very easy and quick. 45 min for a wash and 45 min for a dryer. There’s a laundry room on every floor so no wait. There’s a big communal kitchen and a big communal room to sit and relax. Both clean and well equipped. Good hotel but we felt it was a bit pricey as it’s a bit off from Queenstown. We visited in summer.
