We loved Queenstown and this location was majestic. All the staff were really lovely, although some were quite inexperienced for a fine dining restaurant. Being short staffed affected the provision of services including having food available for dine in or room service on a Monday and Tuesday evening, which was 2 of our 4 night stay. This was inconvenient and below par for a hotel of this standard and price. Also the room wasn’t fully serviced unless specifically requested. We understand and sympathise that staffing is an issue everywhere currently, but to maintain the level of service and reputation associated with this hotel, and to provide the expected services for the customers, perhaps only consider bookings per ratio of the staff available ( if this is even possible) All staff were really friendly, professional and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay Thank you …
Well located on the hill overlooking Queenstown with a spectacular view across Lake Whakatipu. Easy drive into town and a nice walk down the hill. Well appointed and generously sized rooms. Lovely and warm with fireplaces in seating areas in the lounge. Was let down by the staff who were not as attentive as expected.
Good views. Comfortable bed. The bathroom doesn’t have a heater and can be quite cold in the morning or after shower. No heated towel rails as well but towels are thick and warm. Just doesn’t dry if you don’t want it changed. We stayed in the first room and can hear people using the stairs and can also hear the person making coffee at the restaurant. Overall, good service from the staff.
Everything was very good but i would recommend to put extra care in cleaning rooms. Our bathroom was not cleaned properly since it wasn’t in our way it didn’t bothered us as much just for future reference. Otherwise the stay was good. Thanks
Spectacular view within good distance of town. Be close to town without being in the hussle and bussle of the tourist traffic. Beautiful easy 20 min walk through the trail into town (definitely more exertion required on the way home) $19-$20 in a cab.
It's a really good place to stay at in Queenstown, with the main town just a few mins drive away. Nice view of The Remarkables and the lake too. The room was spacious and clean, nice amenities. Included Alexa and a Nespresso machine with 4 pods as well. I woke up around midnight, not sure why but I did and when I went to the toilet the power and wifi seemed to be turned off for hours! the only thing I'd complain about is how FREEZING the bathroom floors are. My personal bathroom and other hotel bathrooms I've stayed at are not this freezing at all!
Loved our stay - rooms were excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful and the view from the main restaurant was amazing. Food was great too! We travelled with a baby and without a car so our only issue was that the food and beverages weren't available at all times on site so we had to taxi into town occasionally for an alternative.
We stayed at the Kamana Lakehouse in a Tahuna Lakeview room and had a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing and stress free stay. The whole experience from the time of booking to check out was perfection. The staff were so friendly, service excellent, facilities top notch.
My husband and I, we visited Queenstown and stayed Kamana Lakehouse for 7 days. They have the most amazing views, room was extra clean and the bed was amazing to sleep in (like in your own home). Definitely recommend to visit this Hotel.
Kamana Lakehouse was the first stop on our honeymoon. Overall the place is beautiful and has amazing views. The good: - stunning view - clean and tidy room - hot tub was amazing - great shower (pressure and water temp) - lovely staff - great wifi - robes and slippers were great - heaters and sofas near the bar area were amazing - convenient usb powerpoints - free parking The bad: - soft bed - small room - no microwave
