Very disappointed in returning to the Point 6+ years after our original visit. Extremely overpriced for the quality of the establishment. The whole establishment has a tired unloved feeling, and whilst redecorating is happening there is a lot still to do. However fabulous views and helpful staff . Our gripes 1) No internet - manager helpful and gave us access...

We had a wonderful stay at the breakfree, very well priced for the facilities and views from the room was spectacular. We are active people so loved the walk into town along the lake, very easy and relaxing! Would definitely stay here again

Position is not excellent (approx 3 km from town centre, you should need a car to reach the centre), but the struscture is cute, prsonnel is kind and available. Wifi was not working, but hotel staff told us was temporary. Recommended!

Very easy to reach from the airport.. Very easy to go to the city center. The internet was not working. The person in reception was polite. The rooms are ok. The place has a parking in your room. Good value for money.

What a holiday . Firstly heating didn't work . Put in another room . All electrical appliances including electric blankets were not electrically tested since 2013 . Went to go to bed and there was dry blood throughout the mattress protector, doona etc. Manager was sorry whenever I confronted him. The bed hade been remade with obvious blood stains throughout...

The apartment was spacious and had good views of the lake but its all downhill from there. We checked in, collected our keys and went to our apartment only to find the room hadn't even been cleaned yet (beds still unmade from last people and kitchen full of rubbish and food). I notified reception and we agreed to leave the...

Stale smell to the unit. Bathroom could do with a good clean. Same with kitchen. Beds the worst we have had in NZ. Not worth the price considering other hotels we have stayed in. Heating is over the top in the lounge area and freezing in the bedrooms. Very disappointing really, would never stay again

Still no wi-fi. Obviously privately owned and not well maintained - grubby bathroom and tricky toilet flush, very grubby carpet, no service re replacement of towels/tea/milk etc. Obviously not checked by management before letting out as we were later asked if we had made a hole in the wall (we are pensioners!) Fortunately we had photographed the hole when we...

The breakfree was a nice and comfortable room. The view from our room was amazing with the views of the mountains and lake and as we had a hire car it was about a 2 minute drive into the town center (or about a 25min walk). The only problem we found was that at night the room did not block...

Excellent views. 30 mins walk into town. No WiFi. Service was quite poor. Reception is unmanned most of the time. No bedroom heaters and very low supplies such as tea and coffee. No milk supplied. Entry way is very hard to get out of.
