We love, love, loved our stay here. We booked a 1 bedroom Alpine Suite with lake view so if you can splurge a bit we recommend it but it was very reasonably priced. It also came with a small kitchenette with microwave, kettle, fridge and some crockery/cutlery. When you arrive it's like walking into a beautiful ski lodge in Europe. We spent our mornings sitting by the fire in the foyer having coffee and our early evenings having mulled wine. Bathroom, linen and beds with gorgeous and Molton Brown amenities. Staff couldn't be more helpful, especially Daniel. Hot tubs were fun, location is a 5 minute walk from town down a small hill. Views are incredible and breakfast was delicious. Book this hotel, it's the best in Queenstown!

Tonight is my last night of seven staying in this wonderful establishment. I had a one bedroom apartment and it was absolutely fantastic. Check-in was easy at around 1:30pm and off to my room. The room was spacious with everything needed including all kitchen amenities and a washer/dryer combo. The bedroom an bed were fantastic and with the door closed the light was a complete blackout. Great bathroom including a large hot tub and separate walk in shower, plenty of towels. However what made my stay all the more enjoyable was the attitude and service of all the staff from all disciplines. Special shout out to Martella, Lucie and Arai in the bar & restaurant, you girls are absolute treasures and made my stay all the more enjoyable.

It’s been a couple of years since we’ve stayed at the St Moritz (Covid etc) and I had forgotten why it’s my favourite hotel. And I’m writing this review with still a night to stay! The rooms are perfectly appointed, our view is spectacular (we booked a Lakeview 1bd apartment with a balcony) and literally everything in our room is perfect - the couch, cushions, beds, robes, pillows, amenities, the amount of space, the velvet armchair my partner’s claimed in the lounge (!). And its proximity to town - literally a five minute walk, but far enough away to not be bugged by noise. If you’re thinking about a QT getaway, honestly, look no further. This is bliss. Oh, and there IS a gym (rare at a Queenstown Hotel in our experience) and a hot tub and sauna. Stop it!

My wife and I stayed here for just a couple of nights but enjoyed the hotel very much. We had an alpine suite with balcony overlooking the lake. The room was huge with a large kitchen area and living room and the a separate bedroom with doors that close off from the tv in living area. The bathroom included a large tub and separate shower. Our room was 305 and under the dining room so we did hear noise from time to time. Other than that parking was easy and the staff were great. The restaurant is fantastic and the bar is another highlight along with the fireplace and comfy seats in the lobby. It’s a short walk into town with a small hill to go up on the way back. We will stay here again as Accor members it’s a great option.

Staff are friendly & helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant was lovely. The room itself was dark & received no sunlight at any time of day. Don't waste your money on a balcony room - it is literally 1m square (I presume to accommodate smokers.) There's no room for a seat to relax and enjoy the view.

Response from Alfred Moritz, General Manager at Hotel St Moritz Queenstown - MGallery Collection

Thanks very much for your thoughts Louise, we're super grateful you chose St Moritz for your recent visit to Queenstown. I'm sorry you found your room a little dark - they're designed to be cosy & serene, however, I appreciate the colour palette isn't to everyone's taste. Balconies are indeed 'Juliette' styled with our overall architecture firmly referencing a Swiss Chalet. They're not for smoking (as we're a 100% smoke free), but more for a standing gaze with glass of pinot in hand! Until next time I hope... Jo Finnigan General Manager
