We stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is located at Queenstown (10 min drive from the main street ). The check in and out was easy. The staff is friendly. The room is large with 2 beds. The bed is comfortable. The pool and hot pool were cold which we did not use it. The sauna was closed for... More

We had a Lake view room. It was capacious and absolutely comfortable. The bathroom, designed for disabled customers( we are not!) was huge. We stayed one night before beginning the Central Otago Rail Trail. It is a fair walk from town, so we decided to eat in at the Vista Restaurant. Great choice! The pool was a little chilly, but... The rooms are dated but functional. Care should be taken to avoid bugs intrusion. A 2% charge on a CC payment is not going to ruin your stay but is an indication of a desire to pluck the customer at every occasion. The restaurant is a disaster. On a not busy night, 3 waiter, 4 tables, it took 10 minutes... More

We stayed at the Mercure for 3 nights & they kindly stored our bags for a night when we went to Milford Sound. The staff were delightful & helped arranged taxis/ change/ recommendations of things to do & see. The room was functional, if a bit bland. The pressure in the shower was AMAZING. We haven't had a shower as... More

Staff are very friendly and room was fine although you can hear everything in the corridor which was as annoying as hearing the lift go up and down at 6am. Seemed to always have trouble with the lock going into the pool area. Just a suggestion, should look at cavity sliding doors in the bathroom as the door takes up... More

Was here for a retreat for business for 4 nights. Our group was treated like royalty. I come to Q'town often for holiday weekends and had never stayed here, but based on this experience, I'd return. The facilities for the meetings are beautiful; the food was outstanding; attention to dietary needs was never missed and if anything, was more than... More

The room was hit and miss. Quite spacious. Great bathroom and great water pressure. Bed was very firm. Wi-fi was slow. Only basic sky channel package. Curtains were in a poor condition (ripped). Room was very clean. Had a view of the lake from the room. Other points to note - there is a guest laundry on site. The bar... More

Stayed here in a lake view room. The views are great, but the windows had cobwebs in the corners of each panel which you would think should be maintained better. Long steep walk to and from town, but scenic nonetheless. Public transport and car park available. Recommend as a cheaper accommodation option. Very friendly staff.

I visited the Mercure Queenstown but a little surprised they call it a resort... I'm very surprised they have an outdoor pool that isn't heated!!? Sure it has lots of potential but the complex is very tired and in need of a refurb to bring it up to modern standards. The view however was amazing of Lake Wakitipu and whilst... More

Worst Resort Ever Wi-Fi was unavailable -- staff said that repair person would be out tomorrow -- then the next day, etc. 2 days so far: no wi-fi. Now staff says "all of the world-fi's customers are out"--but we had no trouble using wi-fi at other places in town. Hot tub is tepid, at best, and door to sauna is... More

Thank you for your review. I sincerely apologise for the services of our hotel not being up to standard on your visit. It seems our communication to you regarding this was not accurate or... More
